Montblanc is the Official Timekeeper of the 2010 Belmont Stakes
Montblanc has announced that it will serve as official timekeeper for the Belmont Stakes thoroughbred race on June 5, 2010 at Belmont Park in Elmont, NY. At 1.5 miles, the Belmont Stakes is the longest and most demanding of the Triple Crown races. During the winner’s circle presentation, Montblanc North America President and CEO Jan-Patrick Schmitz will award a Montblanc Nicolas Rieussec timepiece to the owner of the winning horse. Montblanc shares a historical connection to horse racing through its Rieussec-inspired chronograph. As the dedicated watchmaker for Louis Philippe, the last king of France, Rieussec made history on September 1, 1821 when he succeeded in recording the times of all the horses as they passed the finishing line to an accuracy of a quarter of a second. What is the correct bracelet for my 1969 Speedmaster?
Is it a 1039 or would it be the 1171 model? Im saving for one and want to get the correct one. The 1171 seems similar to the current model bracelet, whereas the 1039 is clearly different in all aspects. Thanks in advance!
5711A or AP 15202 (blue dials) to pair with 5712A
I have a 5712A and love it so much that I am trying to add a 5711 (also blue dial). But lately, I am wondering whether the AP Royal Oak 15202ST would be better? Would love to know what you think, and posting this on the Patek forum intentionally as I love Patek and want to make sure the input is from others who do as well. And to be clear, I do not want a 5711 in a white dial, even though that may seem like the obvious choice. Some of my thoughts: The 15202 is more of a different experience than my 5712A compared to what the difference the 5711A would be, and I love the two hand look (but I also like being able to see the movement in action by way of a second hand). Also, as much as I like AP, I prefer Pateks (all things being equal).I am unlikely to sell either, so better resale value, while nice, isn’t a driving force. And obviously, I will be able to get the 15202 much sooner than the 5711, and it is a touch cheaper as well, when purchased new from an AD.All votes and replies a
