An Insurance Provider's List Of The Top 20 Watches Of All Time
If you happen to stumble upon the website MoneySupermarketwatches-dealer you probably won't think it has anything to do with watches. It doesn't, acting as a sort of aggregator for insurance providers for its audience. However, one of their marketing people (Karl) is a pretty serious watch lover (and proud watches-dealer reader). As a way of trying to tie together what his employer does with his love of watches, he came up with his own list of the top 20 watches everas a way of lightly suggesting "you might want to think about getting your timepiece collection insured."While every "top watches" list is going to be subjective, we felt that there was a lot of merit to his list; representing an interesting collection of pieces over time, as well as a range of styles, values, and feature sets. In a nutshell, this is a well-rounded list from someone who has clearly given this a lot of thought. An watches-dealer top 20 watches of all time list would likely vary, but some of these watches wou
ROC full rose gold new blue dial or ROC Leo Messi rose gold?
Hi guys. So a while back I decided that my next watch was going to be a rose gold chrono and I love the royal oak. So I narrowed my options to two great watches. I need some help from the RF guys with AP expertise to help me decide.these are the options:1. Full rose gold Royal Oak Chrono with the new blue dial.2. Rose Gold and Tantalum Royal Oak Leo Messi I love both these watches and obviously my immediate instinct was go with the Messi. Simple because its more rare and special, and its also slightly less pricey. Other advantages are its not as flashy.. which is like. However I'm hesitant simply because, in the watch collecting world, and I mean serious watch collectors... is it a plus to have a athlete limited edition watch? I dont know. Do hardcore AP collectors consider this watch as a more serious watch in comparison to the normal rose gold chrono with leather strap?( which is thousands of dollars cheaper)... Do you guys think it will hold value in comparison to the regular model
What's your favorite "concept/tourbillon"?
Among the following 4 pieces, which gets your vote?1) ROO Tourbillon Chronograph in Forged Carbon2) Royal Oak Concept CS 1 GMT Tourbillon 3) ROO Tourbillon Chronograph in RG4) Royal Oak Carbon ConceptPicture credits go to SJX Puristpro as well as FOVERSTA Puristpro. Cheers
Need Help Finding Replacement Omega Strap
Hi Fellow Members,About 6 months ago I purchased a Omega Speedmaster White Dial Chronograph Ladies Watch (32433384004001) for my wife. The white leather band is already trashed and I would like to buy her a new leather band in both the white and red leather colors. This weekend I went to an Omega Boutique near my house and they wanted $301 for a new leather band. Can anyone here let me know if there is a good place to buy genuine replacement leather bands at a discount ? I can not find any place online that sells genuine bands.I think the part number for the red leather band was 98000124 FCAny help would be appreciated...Thanks,Tesla
Update - Irrationality
Hello everyone, Few days ago I made a post asking opinions if you all felt I was being irrational....well it turns out I was! RSC told me the watch was in complete original condition! Thanks again for everyone's opinions (I would have responded but apparently all my messages had to be approved by moderators) Also, thanks again Tony. I didn't expect my thread to get as much traction as it did. I will definitely continue to go the TD route after this experience, and Tony will always be my go-to guy. Also, while this isn't directly part of this thread, I just have to say... I LOVE my GMTIIc
