The Jaquet Droz Petite Heure Minute Paillonnee For The Only Watch Auction
Jaquet Droz has released their donation to the Only Watch auction coming up on November 7, 2015. The unique piece exemplifies what Jaquet Droz is best known for by using the historical technique of paillonné enameling. 1 OF 2 The 43 mm, 18k yellow gold case features a deep red pailloné enameled dial, a technique that was handed down from the goldsmiths of the Renaissance. The motif is created by carefully placing tiny pieces of gold leaf on the dial, followed by the red Grand Feu enamel, which creates the translucent sunburst pattern and intricate trellis-work. 2 OF 2 In addition to the unique dial, the movement features a new silicon spiral, a new material used in the movement of the Petite Heure Minute, and allows for better shock resistance and pressure variations. Nautilus 40th Anniversary - Monday is the big day
Looks like Monday could be the big day for the launch of two special Nautilus watches to celebrate the 40th anniversary of the Nautilus. My money is on one in stainless steel and one in gold. I am hoping for a perpetual calander model. Let's wait and see.

I heard a story.
I was told, from a very liable source, that Patek once released 10 or less 5711's with a camouflage green dial, much like the one on the Aquanaut that made it's way to the Sothebys auction in Geneva this summer. Apparently these green dial 5711's were only given to selected clients named directly by Mr. Philippe Stern. I wonder if anyone has seen it or heard a similar story ?

Thank you all for giving DavidSW so many high remarks. I was about to pull the trigger on a new watch today at full retail, but checked out DavidSW's inventory. I called him, placed the order online, and got the Fedex tracking all within a few minutes. You all saved me over $1400. I will post pics tomorrow.
