Kid Gets Grieb & Benzinger Area 51 Luxury Watch, With Aliens
Grieb & Benzinger themselves personally shared with me that they never thought they would make a watch quite like this. Called the Area 51, this absolute unique timepiece borne of hand-decoration and fantastic German artistic skills is about space aliens. Oh, and we'd like to have a little "caption contest" with readers, just read more belowDon't forget that the client personally needed to OK the brand sharing details about the watch. Any brand that produces custom watches for special customers don't share the designs by default. In fact some of biggest Swiss watchmakers have impressive bespoke services producing amazing watches that you will never see. We've seen someand I have to say some of the world's most high-end unique timepieces are either awe-inspiring, or just plain hilarious. The people who brought you marvels such as the Black Tulip (our webmaster's favorite watch of all time) and Blue Danube also bring you shocked-looking metallic 1950's era movie space aliens with prec
A Dream Visit to AP in Le Brassus, Switzerland - Part 1
This a long overdue report that I have promised back in June before my dream visit to AP in Switzerland! It was a 2-day visit in Le Brassus, but there was some time to spend in Geneva before and after the trip to Vallee de Joux. I also took the opportunity to tour other parts of Switzerland. Tons of photos were taken in this 14-day trip, the best are selected here for a photo essay to record this memorable experience. Some of you might have seen some real-time photos I've posted in IG (orangedial17), but there are many more I want to share here and thus the report will come in a few instalments :) I would like to sincerely thank AP Singapore, in particular the management and boutique, for their kind invite and utmost hospitality for hosting this unforgettable visit to the AP HQ, museum and factory facilities in Le Brassus. Not only have I gained more in-depth knowledge about the history, technology, passion, direction, and many interesting details behind the scene, my respects for the
Omega Constellation without Emblem on Caseback
Hello, All:I recently came across an Omega Constellation 14K which did not have the Geneva observatory engraved on the case back. I questioned the seller about this and his response was that these were made custom ordered without the emblem engraving if the buyer so chose (where the buyer thought the engraving was uncomfortable on the wrist). Is this correct? I am not able to find anything online to corroborate this theory. Any help/advice is much appreciated. Thanks!
Black SMP Bond
What was once a serious turn off (to me) towards this watch, is now what I love most about it. Skeleton hands. ImageUploadedByTapatalk1339971245.987022.jpgImageUploadedByTapatalk1339971112.211527.jpg
Is there a Daytona SS shortage of supply from Rolex now?
I am guessing that a month or two prior to and up through Christmas that Rolex churns out extra supply of Rolex's including the Daytona. Right now it seems no one is offering a BNIB 116500LN Daytona. Is the next big supply coming toward Father's Day or maybe even Valentine's Day?I do understand supply and demand. Prices just keep going up. I may just opt to buy a 18K white gold Daytona as it seems to be a better value than the ridiculous pricing now for the SS models. It's also interesting how tastes have changed. Seems no one wants to be caught dead wearing a yellow 18K gold Daytona -- although the pricing seems indicative of a buyer's market.
