Cartiers Cartier dArt series
Wildlife from starfish to birds to tigers is a popular theme in this year's watches with decorative and artistic dials, particularly in Cartier's Cartier d'Art series and Vacheron Constantin's Mtiers d'Art collection. We've compiled a gallery of timepieces from the two brands so you can download these miniature masterpieces for your desktop at a size that does justice to their intricately executed dials. Patek advice for a Newcomer
Fellow Patek Enthusiasts,My name is George. I have been recently reading the Patek forum in anticipation of adding a Patek. I have seen many of your great pieces, and appreciate your vast collective knowledge of Patek. I am wondering if you could offer me your brief advice on my potential purchase(s) based on the following summary.I live a fairly casual lifestyle. I own my own company, and rarely dress formally ( rare charity events, weddings and funerals). I have many watches, but seem to wear my Rolex DeepSea the most as it seems to fit my lifestyle. The Pateks that I'm drawn to are the 5167A, 5130G/P, and of course the 5270 and it's predecessors in J/R. I have never spent more than 10K for a watch, so this is new territory for me. I don't view myself as a potential collector. I intend to buy what I love, and what I will wear. At the same time, I want to be prudent in my acquisitions.I plan to move on a 5167A soon, but am already plotting my next move!Any advice would be greatly
Patek Philipe Nautilus - dilemma
I am in a market for my first PP and am contemplating for PP 5712G-001 white gold or 5712-1A. I am actually looking for more of a leather strap watch because I have a Rolex Daytona SS black, Daytona rose gold, and Daytona TT panda.Which PP would be your choice?Hotshot888
Sure it can dive!
Hello! Two years ago, I adopted a 16610LV, classic with its little acid touch.Seawater, poolwater, shower, I love to get wy watch with me everytime: it follows me everywhere, 24/7.I did not like the patek lines at the first sight.. but I saw yesterday the 5711/1a-011, i.e. white dial nautilus, and loved it.* How do the 324SC compare to the 3135 movement, not in finish, but in long-term reliability and accuracy?* Can the patek follow me everywhere like the sub, despite the fact that it is not a titanium or a 904l watch? (I can not rinse my watch immediatly after bathing in the sea)*Can it dive?*Can we consider the patek as a more low profile watch for travelling?*Is the bracelet as reliable as the sub one?*What is the price of this white dial nautilus?Every information will be read with a lot of pleasure, and every picture will be admired.Thank you a lot!

So I seem to recall not a lot of love for the new entry level models, in fact quite a lot of hatred! Snap on case backs, Spring bars, panerai lowering standards blah blah blah....Handled one in the flesh today, I rather liked it (don't shoot me)!! Not normally a fan of white dials but loved the blue logo and dial, completely different to my 312 and 580.What I can't understand is the watch was ?3,500 in the AD and I've just seen one advertised for ?4650 online?
