The Versace 400 Series Perpetual Weekly Calendar boasts 100-meter water-resistance
The Versace 400 Series Perpetual Weekly Calendar boasts 100-meter water-resistance.
The watch is accompanied either by a genuine leather strap or a stainless steel bracelet. The model is carefully thought out down to the last detail. Thus, the case, bezel, bracelet, crown and pusher demonstrate a remarkable and quite an expensive combination of polished and brushed surfaces.
Had a nice Omega moment today
Won't bore you with the details about the circumstances but today, a complete stranger and I had this short conversation . . . . . . Stranger: I like your watch AzPaul: Thanks. It's a '66 Stranger: Is it a pie-pan? AzPaul: It is Stranger: Can I take a look at it? AzPaul: Absolutely Made my morning

Three handed dress watch options
Current collection is this - Thinking about trading in my Reverso 976 and IWC Portuguese chrono for a dress watch/ Precious metal watch. I've always like the the PP 5196, but cant really make up my mind. Also still flirting with Lange, AP and VC. Would there be a chance of a new Calatrava line in 2017 with new movements? What would you get?The options in order of preference are PP 5196 J/G/R/PPP 5205RPP 5296 the clean dial PP 5227 white dialVC Patrimony TraditionnellePP thanks for voting and giving me some ideas!
iwatch mfg. and innards vs. Rolex
I am an Apple fan (typing this from my Mac and we have 3 iPhones). Also, having taken some electrical engineering classes, I have huge respect for the engineering that goes into the iwatch. That said, these videos explain why I (and am guessing others) will never feel the connection to an iwatch that is felt with a Rolex. Also, I get that Rolex has some of the best videos & advertising on the planet. The 2nd iwatch video is Apple's attempt at what Rolex does so well. Not quite on par w/ Rolex, but fairly cool in it's own way. iwatch innards - https://.youtube/watch?v=-3JYGk0uejs (most exciting/interesting vid I could find)Rolex 4130 movement - https://.youtube/watch?v=-7rWZvPuQHk (beautiful video)Inside Rolex's factory - https://.youtube/watch?v=x5ArSjYlJ9Y&t=2s (liked this version in French) Couldn't find a vid of iwatch being made, but found a video about the case - https://.youtube/watch?v=qmaYUhMH1w8&t=4s
