SIHH: The Lange 1815 Moonphase Returns
2010 is Lange’s 165th anniversary, and to mark the occasion they are creating new versions of 3 well-known models in a new metal called honey gold, which is not only a unique color, but it is also nearly twice as hard as regular gold. Together, the new models are known as the F. A. Lange Homage Collection. Among the new releases is an 1815 Moonphase. The original 1815 Moonphase limited edition from 1999 was a hit with collectors, selling at auction for nearly triple the original selling price. This newest version will certainly carry on that tradition. Limited to 265 pieces and with a European MSRP of 18,500 euro, the new 1815 Moonphase case and balance cock are formed from Lange’s new and proprietary honey gold. Like the other pieces in the Homage to F.A. Lange Collection, the 1815 Moonphase also features three-quarter plate with hand-engraved traditional decoration. Of course the moon phase display is accurate to an amazing 1 day in 1058 yearsplete technical specification
Introducing The Girard-Perregaux 1966 Collection Limited Editions With Enamel Dial
Today, we bring you three Girard-Perregaux 1966 Limited Editions with Enamel Dial. The art of enameling isn’t new to HODINKEE readers. We’ve covered it in cloissoné on models such as this from Laurent Ferrier, and recently brought you the RGM PS801 Baseball in Enamel that is manufactured stateside. In short, we have great respect for this craft, which is why we’re excited to announce Girard-Perregaux’s new and exceedingly top-notch offerings in it.If you’re the type of watch-lover who prefers rare complications to rare artistry, just know that when it comes to volume, enamel work makes exotic repeaters and tourbillons routine in comparison. And because most enamel pieces sell out pre-release, most of us will never see one outside the margins of this publication. Having shed that tear, let’s move on to why the Girard Perregaux 1966 models are a step in the right direction.Caution: Article assumes a very artistic tone hereafter. In case of emerg
New Planet Ocean...yea!!!!
I was at Jared on Monday paying my monthly payment. This Jared has a PreOwned counter. I had a 42.5 mm PO with a black bezel and black numbers and sold it a year and and 1/2 ago. I have a 16610 Submariner and it looked to close. Well I spied this 45mm Orange PO, $1899.99 PreOwned. I tried it on and it was one link short and the bezel was jacked up, it took vice grips practically to turn it, so I told the sales girl....no thanks. Then she says, I tell you what, I have a new one in the case over here, I'll give you that one for the same price and send this one to warranty to get fixed but I can only gove you a 1 year warranty with this new one. I bit for the new PO for $1899.99 plus tax and I love the 45mm PO and always had. The orange just pops, instantly recognizable IMO but I just wasn't gonna pay retail for a new one and I didnt have the cash to buy on here or on TimeZone. Speaking of TimeZone, it's looks like no one is buying there. All the add's have 0 replies......my 2255.80 has N
Sent in my 328 for repair
Hello. I sent my 328 in for repair, the minute and hour hands were not lining up correctly. I thought the hour hand jumped a tooth in the running train, but I am not certain. I just got info today that the watch had been sent to Panerai for a partial service and would take 4-6 weeks. I wanted to ask those of you that had dealt with servicing your Pams is the turn-around time fairly quick? Thanks in advance!

Shopping for used 16613 and I have seen prices increase on several sites recently. Should I wait for prices to come down?
