Montblanc 1858 Watch Collection
Watches released in celebration of an anniversary provide an excellent excuse to turn our minds to the past and gratuitously borrow?design cues from a brand's history. How close to the original the reinterpretation ends up being?varies from brand to brand, and model to model. In the case of the Montblanc 1858 Collection, the Swiss brand producing fine watches out of Le Locle for generations, the 157th birthday of the company has been commemorated with a dollop of classical verve. The release of the?Montblanc 1858 Chronograph Tachymeter Limited Edition, the Montblanc?1858 Small Second Limited Edition, and?the Montblanc?1858 Manual Small Second introduces?three new models that stand shoulder-to-shoulder with the current collection, and give consumers the opportunity to invest in something a little more traditionally styled.Montblanc have done a very nice job of updating a classic chronograph design of theirs from the 1930s. The mono-pusher chronograph is large, features a superbly weight

You think, it is OK
Omega Constellation ref 168008Recently I came across an Omega Constellation model reference 168008 that was sold, on the popular auction market. The seller claimed, it is a rare Constellation vintage-watch.The description of the 1960's watch: Model reference 168008 with movement caliber 564: 18k solid yellow gold case (main case, back-cover and winding-crown), 18k solid white gold bezel and 18k solid white gold hands and also, the hour markers, Omega logo and star, as well as, Omega signature are all in 18k solid white gold, while the dial is in yellow gold color - no mention whether solid gold or otherwise. Is this a genuine and rare Constellation or it is a franken? Thank-you.
What Do You Think About The Olympic Offerings..
I think that Omega has gone overboard on the LE and other gimmicks to sell watches.....including the latest Beijing offerings..However, I do like the dials of some of them.. The 5 sub dials that look like the Olympic rings is interesting, and the AT tri-compac chorono face is nice...I just can't get past the silly rings hanging on the end of the second hand.. I feel the same way about the 007.It takes a classy timepiece. One that Omega is trying to climb the ladder back into the luxury watch category, and gives it a Mickey Mouse flavor..
