Tempest Carbon Review
It wasn't long ago, a few weeks in fact, that we took our first look at a Tempest watch, the Commodore. Right out of the box, it impressed me with its thoughtful design and great execution. The fairly modest price of $638 for an all titanium diver with a solid titanium bracelet was impressive too. Well… shortly after publishing that, the owner of Tempest, Ben, wrote me something along the lines of "hey Zach, want to review a prototype of something really cool I've got in the works?" To which I responded, yes. What arrived was the new Tempest Carbon, a watch that is going to turn a lot of heads. As you've probably already deduced from the pictures, the case of the Carbon is… well, forged carbon. This is a material I've yet to encounter in the 3.5+ years we've been running worn&wound, at least not on an accessibly priced watch. Forged carbon is a material associated with the high-end in all its uses, whether in aerospace, race cars, golf or luxury watches the likes of Aude
Speedmaster Happy
I ware my Seamaster chrono daily, but have been itching to get a Speedy for a while now. I wanted something cleaner looking but still elegant and sporty. I just came home with this one and couldn't be happier. I really like the day/month and 24 hr dials. Along with the chrono feature and water resistant to 300ft, makes this a perfect EDC watch. Luv the quick set day too. 38 1/2mm.

Rolex AD prices on Datejust 41 Singapore - negotiable?
Howdy all,My journey continues to get an AD (NIB) DateJust 41 126334 (w/Jubilee). I have talked to AD in Australia and (with crossed arms) - We do not discount Sir ok I get it...Travelling to Singapore in November and, although the list Singapore price is more expensive taking in account Exchange rate (excl taxes), I would like to get your expert advice on how negotiable prices are in Singapore. Hoping I can haggle hard and pick one up from an AD with all the goodness that brings. I need to work the numbers with forex $ etc obviously before making a final decision. It will be my one and only Rolex so don't really care about a special relationship with my local (no discount) AD. Couple of other questions if I may:Does cash work as a lever or not matter. Do they try to add a surcharge for AMEX purchases? Thanks all :-)S.
