This time, according to Fox Business News, Swatch has reached a draft agreement with Swiss competition authorities that would allow it to reduce the number of movements supplied to outsiders by 70% by 2018.?This is significant because Swatch, according to many reports, supplies roughly 80% of the movements used in Swiss-Made mechanical watches.? AP Boutique Paris - closed?
Am I going blind or AP closed their boutique in Paris. It's still listed on their website and everywhere else at 380 st. Honore but I passed by two times and it's not here. :) if I wasn't here two years ago I will think I missed the address. There is no info of closing or moving so I'm really confused :)
lets talk Jules Audemars
Does anyone on this subforum have anything from the Jules Audemars line? Particularly the Reserve De Marche. I know there's infinite RO and ROO love here but in my very personal opinion the Jules part of APs lineup is where the brand shines. Too many amazing and stunning pieces.I've been trying to find pictures of the reserve de marche on someone's wrist for a while now but haven't seen anything..
Uh oh, the Speedy is starting to grow on me . . .
Well, after saying that my new Planet Ocean is my last Omega (for the time being), I now find myself looking at the Speedmaster. I originally thought that the Planet Ocean would be my last major watch purchace for the next 5-10 years. However, with everyone saying the moon-watch black faced speedy is the legend' of Omega, and a watch collection cannot be complete without one, etc. this even farther sparked my interest. I currently own two Seamasters (the 2531.80, and the PO), but I've never really seen a Speedy in real life, just in pictures on the net. I've never really thought about getting one, for a few BIG reasons (IF I were to get one, it would hands down be the one everyone suggests, the original moon watch) 1. It's a manual wind 2. Plastic/easily scratched face3. People do NOT recommend swimming with it 4. NO DATE 5. no screw-down crown the list goes on. However, the more I read into the posts of those that highly recommend getting one to at least have in your collection, the m
Time adjustment by drop kick
Had my DJ41 since June...it ran at -2 spd when I first got it....I’ve dropped it 2 times accidentally of course. First time 3 months ago and it started running at -2.5....then 2 weeks ago dropped it on my Wooden floor and kicked it as it landed, absolute panic that it would be knackered....not a mark on it and it now runs the best it’s ever been at -1 sec per day amazingly....any other folk with such experiences....I’ve been very lucky I’d say
