AP ROC advice
Would you buy an AP watch serviced and polished by an unauthorized watch dealer? I am looking to buy a AP ROC 26300 silver dial (39mm). I found one for $13K, but it doesn't come with box/papers. AND its been serviced/polished by this watch guy himself, and that makes me hesitate to pull the trigger. Am I thinking too much?
Has anyone tried this deployant band combo?
May not be replica but rather generic buckle with Omega stamped on it. Looks like a great deal but would like to ask if anyone here has tried this:Watch Strap Genuine Leather 20 mm Omega Black
More Omega Freebies
Well, not exactly freebies, but some more swag I got when I bought my new PO.Rob
Back in Black...Teju
Teju Lizard skin that is...A while back I posted a pictorial of a Swiss Ammo Strap I had made by Dangerous 9.I recently received another custom strap made by strap master John Glance made from this very cool skin. The strap has one keeper and is 115 mm on the long end and 70 mm on the shortI should have gone more adventurous on the thread color, but I thought ecru looked best. Gray was my original idea.Panerai does not offer a lizard skin AFAIK...I really like this look.Cheers!
Removing permanent links
Hi guys, I recently acquired a 14060 and 16710. Very happy with both. I have small wrists, about 6', so the 5 digits feel more comfortable compared to the newer 6 digits pieces. However, because the number of removable links is lesser than the 6 digit bracelets, the clasp doesn't sit nicely in the middle of my wrist. My question is 1) will removing a permanent link or 2 lower the value of the watch in the future when I want to sell it off2) if I sell it later would it be an issue for the new owner to add more links to the braceletAppreciate any comments, especially from guys who have done it before. Many thanks!
