integrated strap available for speedy moon?
anyone have or seen an oem alligator integrated strap for the standard speedy moon?ive seen the rally strap and i believe integrated planet ocean straps fit, but have not seen one in gator.only seen 19 and 21mm versions on other omega models, but not for standard 20mm lug profile of speedy moon.
New Incoming Today!
Stopped by the Omega Boutique today and picked up a new watch Thanks to Jane and the staff at the Vancouver store for looking after me as always! The ceramic case (according to the Vancouver Boutique) is laser sculpted from a single piece of ceramic. It's very lightweight and comfortable despite its large size.A better look at the strap. It's actually quite supple and very comfortable. They changed it from the earlier display models that were at the boutiques, the new design is much more supple and not as stiff. The underside is lined with black leather and the area around the adjustment holes is some kind of rubber. The beautiful in-house 9300It's only been with me for a few hours, but i'm very impressed with it so far! The fit and finish is superb and i'm more impressed with the strap than I thought I would be. Omega's in house movements are in my opinion some of the nicest and most beautiful production movements in the industry. My only complaints so far is that it doesn't ha
Recent Auction Results
Anyone follow the Sothebey's auction results in HK this morning? .sothebys/en/auctions/...es-hk0789.htmlSome interesting results and I thought the catalog was very well put together with something for everyone. There seems to be a definite thawing of some modern-era classics like the 3970 (with a P selling for $130k), the 5970 (with a P selling for $190k) and the 5070 (with a P selling for $175, a new record for a non-sealed 5070P). 5970G and R were flat however.Nautilus performed well as well of course with a blue 5711 1/a selling for $60k, which to me is unbelievable. Who buys this instead of a 5070J/G/R for a little more money? Two enamel worldtimers in the catalog also did fine-average I would say with a 5131J selling in the mid 90k range and a 5131G selling for just slightly above $100k. What caught your eye? Have a good day.
5146 - Daily Wearer?
It's hard to come up with a new way of asking a question which is prevalent in most forums, so I'll just be boring I guess!Anyway, the 5146 has long been a Grail for me. And I've come across a P which I can't get out of my head. In fact, it's been hard to focus over the last few days! What I want to know is whether this is an everyday watch? For the last 8/9 years I've rotated between a Sub, a PAM 359, and a Breitling Chronomat. It would be fair to say that they've all been well used. This would be a significant step for me for two reasons, 1. It's a huge chunk of change (for me anyway) and 2. It would be the realization of a long held dream to own such a piece. So, I wouldn't want to realize the dream and then be nervous about wearing.Any input greatly appreciated.
