Romain Jerome Spacecraft: Batman Watch
The memorable Romain Jerome Spacecraft has a new family member and it's inspired by the caped crusader from Gotham City. The Romain Jerome Spacecraft: Batman is an edgy update on the original model that split opinion with its bizarre shape and novel time indication system. I'm all for uniqueness and instant identifiability and so can't help but admire the Romain Jerome Spacecraft. That's in spite of the fact that it looks like a futuristic kitchen appliance from the 1970sor maybe a badass VCR. I can't decide which is more appropriate, but either way, I like it because it is different and makes me feel inexplicably nostalgic despite its modernity. This watch is part of the horological icons range and is an official collaboration between Romain Jerome and Warner Bros. Consumer Products on behalf of DC Entertainment. Because its creation has been legitimately sanctioned, this watch is sure to have great crossover appeal. The Romain Jerome Spacecraft: Batman, is a gritty re-imagining of the
In-Depth: Twelve Of The Greatest Missing Watches, Including Paul Newman's Paul Newman, John Lennon's Patek Philippe, The Original Moonwatch, And A President's President
The intersection of politics and popular culture with wristwatches is undeniably fascinating. I mean, that's basically why I have a job. Equally fascinating is the pursuit of these timepieces at the center of this interesection by watch collectors, dealers, and auction houses. There are a handful of documented important wrist and pocket watches out there that the world at large is still looking for. What I mean by that is they have not been publicly sold or located, like say Eric Clapton's platinum 2499, Gandhi's Zenith pocket watch, or Steve McQueen's 5512 Submariner (we won't get into his seemingly never ending supply of Monacos), though we know they exist via a blurry old 35mm photograph, or word of mouth. This is a short list of twelve watches that we know to exist, have serious interest in, but have seemingly gone missing. AP on TV
Don't ask me why it was on, but last night I turned on the TV and Miami Airport 24/7 was on. A guy had been caught going through customs with ~10-15 APs, mostly gold. They said the value was $400k. It was surprising how much attention they spent describing the watches, and their worth. Anyone else see it?
BaselWorld 2016 - Speedmaster "CK2998" LE
.omegawatches/watches/...master-ck2998/This is so wrong, on so many levels... :( If it wasn't called CK2998, it could have been a handsome watch. But this way it's just a slap in the face of the original, fabulous reference.
