A cold snowing Boston...
Not sure if you guys are gamers or into gaming but I am currently at Boston exhibiting at a huge gaming event PAX East. People said I was crazy but I could not and have not taken my AP off so I took it along for the ride. For those who question if the AP could be daily wear, here's a proof! After setting up and 1 full day of the event still looking good...From 80 degree LA to cold, snow, and chilly BostonHad great dinner at Island Creek Oyster Bar This event is crazy, there were tons of people dressed in elaborate costumes of their favorite gaming characters. I don't know how and why...
New strap for the Transocean Chrono LE!
Alright, I love the mesh bracelet. The vintage look, it's uniqueness. But this was a combo I was really looking forward to trying out, and it didn't disappoint! Although almost identical, the strap is a Hirsch thick calf, not the oem Breitling calf. It still needs some breaking in, but is a very high quality strap and a great deal compared to oem prices.I think this is how I'm going to wear it for a while.
2 APs for 1 Patek? Which one (5990-1a or 5960-1a)?
Just picked up the 5980-1r but already thinking of other moves...(still need to move the skyD as part of the 5980-1r transaction as promised to the wife). Now thinking whether to swap the 44mm RG ROO and jumbo for a 5990-1a or 5960-1a. The only concern is 5990-1a may be too similar to 5980-1r but 5990-1a would allow me to wear to work as I usually do not wear gold to work. Seeking expert advice from all the great members of TRF.
storage box recommendations please
I'm looking for recommendations for a storage box to hold atleast 8 watches. Most are manual wind on deployants so the lay flat boxes won't work. The box will also need to fit in a safe so it doesn't need to be extremely fancy but I do prefer wood. Thanks in advance!
Strap suggestions
For all of you who have ordered straps could you please suggest a strap size (e.g.; 130/80) for a Panerai 44 mm that would fit a 7.5 inch wrist. Thanks
