Incoming vintage Seamaster
Bought purely on its classic looks, and Omega's reputation in the 40s, 50s and 60s, a 1952 Seamaster with bumper winding and subsidiary seconds. I know nothing about these, any knowledge / comments would be appreciated..finewatchco/OmegaSeamasterSMT1010.html
Help me ID this old Omega
Can anyone shed some light on this watch? It came to me via an uncle but nobody seems to know age nor value. Thanks, Mike
Patek Breitling trade off?
Hello gents,I've a serious quandary here.I currently own a Rolex Datejust ii, a couple of Breitlings, including a Chronomat 44 and a Superocean 44 (which is my watch that I can wear in the sea, swimming pool, with suncream etc and it'll take all that 'abuse')Finally I have a Breitling Navitimer 18K Rose Gold 01. This watch is a stunner and it cost me about $17,000. I promised I wouldn't buy another Breitling but when I saw this I just dove at it. To me it an iconic piece in the range, with a relatively new in house B01 movement so I just went for it. It looks stunning too.In any case, as time passed and I started to set my sights on a few Patek pieces, it dawned on me that to spend 17k on a Breitling was probably foolish and myopic. Buyer's remorse is a funny thing, but you eventually get to a point where you can talk about it.Maybe remorse is that wrong word because this is a lovely solid gold watch (google image it, I don't have it to hand unfortunately) It also gets 100's of complim
The right strap size? 22 or 24 mm
I will be receiving my first Panerai tomorrow and I am starting to look at straps. The Panerai website indicate a 22/24mm straps size for the 233. I am an industrial designer, and 2mm difference in my world is a lot.Which size fits better the 22 or 24mm?My first instinct is to go with 24mm. But I would like to know what you guys think first.Cheers.
