The Subtle Differences Within the 15400 Lineage
My OCD kicked in last while I was looking at my 15400 I bought last month and began researching the 15400 myself.I tried searching through the forums and couldn't seem to locate a thread referencing the subtle differences and changes even within the 15400 lineage.Thought I would share and see what you guys think. If you guys have more to add, let me know as well. Cheers. *Apologise in advance as these are not my images or pictures, but these seem to highlight the watches and subtleties quite well. As well, nor do I own two 15400 side by side to compare. From my research the blend of changes appears late H Series and I Series. Final changes are complete in the I Series in 2015. I'm not an expert by any means and the subtle changes may be around this date rate (give or take).Mine is a 2015 I Series and seems to incorporate all the new changes. Sold in July 2015.Dial - AP LogoAfter/during 2015 - I Series - Fatter AP Logo, P is wider and space between the A and P is wider, less distinctiv
AP CEO interview
Came across this interview: https://.youtube/watch?v=f1aVYJ1HOe0I find this few points made interesting: 1) He talks about the white pieces. Interestingly a full ceramic AP with bracelet could be a possibility. 2) At one point he talks about chronographs, he says one of my biggest hopes we see a lot of women wearing gold chronograph on their wrist, no need to say the name or the company <--- what watch is he talking about here? could it be the Daytona? 3)Towards the end he says that only one thing that could kill AP only 1! but he ask them to shut down the recording and he will let the audience know! What could this be? smart watches?
Omega Speedmaster Pulse Rate Bezel
Hey Guys:I sourced this really cool vintage bezel for my 1969 Speedy. It is graduated to calculate pulse rates by counting 15 heartbeats against the stopwatch feature. Before installing it (similar to a Rolex bezel/insert) I needed to figure out how to align the bezel in relation to the dial (and removed the original tachymetre unit).A quick spreadsheet showed that the 45 BPM on the bezel needed to be directly across from the 20 seconds on the dial.A piece of scotch tape held it in place and the case-back press put it into the right position! Those Omega guys sure knew their stuff back in the good old days; now where is the dog so I can do his pulse!!
Omega Seamaster White 42mm. Who wears this watch? Wrist shots please!
I'm guessing because this is a 42mm Ceramic Bezel watch it's designed for Gents. I don't see any threads about it though...show me some shots and feedback please!
Help ...... My poor 441 !
Is now stuck on a 12 week (minimum) journey to the Panerai factory in Switzerland I went to change the strap on my Ceramica GMT 441 and all was going well after switching over the Tang buckle and removing the leather strap . It was upon trying to attach the rubber strap that I realized that the threads on the pins weren't catching in the ceramic case . Had a closer look and realized the pins had no threads , then realized that the thread portion of both pins broke off inside the ceramic case . Now it has to go on a 12 week trip to the factory in Switzerland . And they say that the two year warranty only covers the movement and that if it's deemed NOT to be a defect , that I might have to pay for the repair or the cost to replace the case . Has anyone had this happen to them ? Any thoughts or advice ?Thanks , Dan
