Timezone.com Forums Guilty Of Indiscriminate Banning Of Members, Censorship, And Parlaying To Advertisers; Effectively Anti-User
Timezonewatches-dealer and Watchnetwatches-dealer are watch information related forums now owned by popular watch and clock auction house Antiquroum. Most online watch information forums present areas of watch discussion, brand and news talk, and sales forums for buyers and sellers alike. The concept is brilliant and effective. A relatively low maintenance system providing for a rich organic community online. A watch lover can get most of what they desire through discussion with other watch lovers, and the ability to buy and sell with out the minor costs and additional complexity that auction sites present. In fact forum types sites are among the most traffic generating website on the internet. The vast majority of content on a watch forum is user generated. The idea is to be a place for the members, by the members. While there might be a degree of advertising, these sites are web 2.0 at its finest. A problem exists when one needs to monitor and maintain the forum. There is need to expu
Offshore 44 strap question
Just love my new ROO RG 44. Question for those of you with them, for my wrist I am in the second or third hole from the start. This leaves a little more strap past the end of the buckle than I normally have on other straps. How does this compare to most wearers of this watch. I think I read somewhere a shorter strap is available? This is my first rubber strap, do they break in or stretch any?

New Member Intro - Vintage question
I introduced myself yesterday on the Rolex side, and figured I would do the same today for Omega. Name in Ted, 33 years old and live in San Diego, CA. Here is my collection... I seem to prefer vintage over new. I have acquired these 2 vintage Omega pieces, anything you can tell me about them would be helpful. I have tried to find info on them, or similar watches on the net, but haven't come up with too much. Thanks in advance for any info! Look forward to being able to contribute to this forum in the future.
Nautilus Strap Conversion Kit
The question has been asked many a time and oft and the answer is always negative, but I'm just sitting here looking at my 5711 and I just can't understand why some budding entrepreneur hasn't created a conversion kit for bracelet-to-strap conversions for the Nautilus. The bracelet, including the end-link is attached by pins to the case. Surely all it would take is the fashioning of an aftermarket end link to fill that gap and with another hole through it to allow a strap to be secured to it, in the same way people make after-market plot links for AP's. I'm not suggesting for a second its something I could do, but there are so many people out there that could, I'm surprised someone hasn't given it a bash. They've managed for Audemars, Rolex, etc. it's not like the Nautilus hasn't been around a while...It's not like your typical Patek owner is strapped for cash so I'd think the producer of a decent kit could charge like the proverbial rhino.Just a thought...
