Perrelet Seacraft Watches Hands-On
At Basel 2011 I was surprised to see these new dive watches from Perrelet. The brand has recently focused a lot on formal and sport so I should have expected a good diver, however, I never saw these coming. The Seacraft collection is interesting and appealing though parts of the designs seem to be influenced from elsewhere. My biggest question is how much Perrelet paid SeaCraft boats to use the name? Personally, I don't think about boats when I hear the name, I actually think about Star Craft. There are three watches in the Seacraft collection and each comes with three different dial colors (black, white, or blue). A nice matching alligator strap option is also available for each of the watches. The colors are bold and so are the styles. I like the pieces overall but feel that Perrelet possibly could have gone further to make the watches more distinct. Plus, aside from the lugs and Perrelet logo on the dial, there isn't much about the watches that says "Perrelet."Despite these facts, th
A Quick Look At The Vintage Audemars Piguet Calendar Watches Of Marcus Margulies
Vintage AP is having a moment. About a month ago, we took you inside the private collection of Audemars Piguet themselves with this detailed video and break-down. Today, the folks at Bexsonn have a look at some more vintage beauties from AP, this time not from the museum collection, but rather owned by Marcus Margulies, owner of Marcus of London.Marcus's vintage AP collection is regarded as the finest in the world, and he was buying them years ago when no one else was. Here is a two-year-old look we did at some of his other pieces, but we strongly recommend you head over to Bexsonn to have a look at what are truly some of the most beautiful calendar watches we've ever seen.Read BEXSONN's Story About The Vintage Calendar Watches Owned By Marcus Here.
Best Flip Method
I have a question for those members here that are experienced in flipping AP's or other high end brands. What form of sale is recommended? Trade in to AD or selling it yourself on Ebay, Chrono24, and etc... How much of a price difference can one expect between the 2 methods? Thanks in advance!
Get your watch serviced every 5-7 years or not?
I don't know wether it's best to get your watch serviced every 5-7 years, as recommended, or as some say as long as it works and keeps good time don't send it for servicing, especially for pams I have heard a lot of negative or very negative feedback, what is your opinion on this issue?Personnally I would be more in the tendancy of not sending it as long as it works fine, the 4 watches that I wear the oldest has 1,5 years, of course my 3 pams are much older but i bought them 100% unworn brand new, in mechanical watches I have omega seamaster, 5 years, a very old omega gold chrono handwound which was bought by my father in 1955, but he wore it on special occasions, in no way as an everyday watch, and a Breitling chrono which is around 20 years, after 10 years it started loosing 5-7 minutes everyday, when I asked for a price of servicing I was told 800 euros, that was 10 years ago, since I wasn't wearing it anymore I didn't do it, so basically the experience I had is that the Breitling s
