Audemars Piguet Royal Oak Perpetual Calendar in Yellow Gold (Updated with Live Photo & Price)
At SIHH 2016 in January, Audemars Piguet has gone for what many would consider old-school horological luxury releasing a new version of its Audemars Piguet Royal Oak Perpetual Calendar in classical yellow gold. Why yellow gold, you might ask a material that has in recent years fallen out of vogue in the watch aficionado community. Audemars Piguet, whose motto “To break the rules, you must first master them” is on bold display here, refers to it as luxury watchmaking’s “most elemental material… the universal emblem of indestructible beauty, energy and light… symboliz[ing] wealth and power.” Like the most recent models of the Royal Oak Perpetual Calendar, in steel and rose gold (and more on which can be discovered here), this watch has a 41-mm case in the classical octagonal style of the Royal Oak collection and featuring a clear, glareproof sapphire caseback. Marvin M104 Watch Review
This will be my first of several reviews on watches from the Marvin watch brand. In addition to sharing with you these interesting and attractive timepieces, I have an ulterior motive. You see, Marvin watches are not currently sold in the US. There is really no good reason for this, and I am trying to determine whether or not these watches would be in demand here in the States. I for one think that they would have a lot of appeal given their styling, construction quality, and fair prices. So, what do you think? Please comment and share your thoughts. This Marvin M104 model watch is among my favorites in the brand's current lineup. The design smoothly transitions between modern and classic styling in such a satisfying manner. Better yet, the watch has a high grade Swiss ETA 2897 automatic movement in it. This is like the 2892, but has a power reserve indicator as well - and 42 hours of power reserve. No specific statement can be made to sum up the design of the watch. Like I said it has

Loving it so far.
Rolex for the business professional
Which model do you think would be most appropriate for a business professional?I was set on the subC with or without a date until I tried on the datejust 41. I have yet to try on a subC, but I have tried on a gmt master ii. It's a nice piece, but I prefer the less busy bezel/dial of the sub. I don't need the gmt function. The PCL or a fully brushed bracelet both work for me. I'm usually in the office or out meeting clients. I don't wear suits being in a tropical island. I wear business casual, jeans and polo shirts. This will be my first Rolex and not likely my last. Thanks in advance.[IMG][/IMG]
