Speedy style bracelet on new SMP-C...
Well for those who were curious to whether the 'old' style speedy bracelet would fit the new SMP-C the answer is a resounding yes . No machining needed at all and you can use the SMP-C spring bars (which I believe are the same as the 'old' SMP ones)...I am really digging this combo . This is actually the fully brushed (sides and middle links) speedy bracelet form the GMT. It looks less busy than the bond, is lighter (then the new SMP-C bond at least) and I also like the fact that it tapers slightly to 18mm at the clasp. The only downside it uses friction pins rather than screws. A couple crappy HTC photos but at least you get the idea ...
cant believe how much i am missing the 5270
5 days on the road with one of the nicest selections of vintage pieces on the planet in my travel case and i keep wondering why i didnt bring this with me ......
Anyone hear of any Carbotech issues?
I've seen one with a worn section on each of the two lugs on the back side. The owner says it's from the fork end of the spring bar removal tool. I was planning on getting a 661 and now this guys 661 has a possible issue. Anyone else experience this? Should I skip the Carbotechs?Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro
Which SS Daytona to get?
Having given up trying to get a new SS Daytona from an AD, I've decided to go the Grey route.Which do you think is a better buy for the long term? A newish black dial 116500LN or a 10 year old black dial that has been serviced at RSC?The difference in cost between the two is around 3,500 (UK).The plan is to keep it for 10 years and then give it to my son. In the mean I will wear the hell out of it.Thanks
Daytona Blue dial blue insert insert. Really?!
I apologize for the redundancy...posted seller on Watch Out but I possibly wasn't succinct. Seller name posted there. Listed as authentic, not custom. Also, SS copy of Platona only $13,000+ (jpeg file wouldn't load...sorry).
