7 “Tribute to the Military” Watches
Wristwatches have long been useful tools in military life, and over the years various watch brands have created special timepieces to honor certain branches of the armed forces and those that support them. Here we re-present our updated list of seven “Tribute to the Military” watches. IWC Schaffhausen, a watch brand with deep roots in making military-grade pilots’ watches, introduced its Big Pilot’s Watch Top Gun collection in 2007. Created in cooperation with the United States Navy Fighter Weapons School, known widely as “Top Gun,” the collection was expanded in 2012 with the addition of the IWC Big Pilot’s Watch Top Gun Miramar, a distinctly military-styled watch named for, and paying tribute to, the area in California where the Navy’s elite Top Gun pilots receive their training. omega clasp too tight
I purchased a speedy bracelet from ebay for my speedy pro 3570.50. Paid a pretty penny for it too. The bracelet is the older style 1498 with 840 end links.I am trying to figure out whether it is genuine or whether I got suckered into a fake.Reason why I feel something is not right is the clasp. The clasp is very stiff. It actually hurts my thumb trying to open the clasp, and it hurts my wrist when trying to lock it in. It is bloody tight! Are the omega clasps meant to be this bloody tight?
DJ41 & Sub C Buying Tactic
Hi all. First post here after lurking for several month. So I've identified my next 2 purchases which should (mostly) complete my collection. I'm British but based in the Middle East so want to try and take advantage of the lowish pound rate and VAT refunds. My current watches are a Tag Aquaracer (black sub looking type which is why I bought 8 years ago) and a white / silver faced Omega Aqua Terra 8500 on brown leather with gold hands. It's my usual dressy type watch. It's a lovely piece which I've had many complements but the leather makes it less versatile. The ultimate aim is to add a Sub C and sell the Tag and complement the collection with a DJ41 (blue dial, fluted, oyster). I'm on 2 waiting lists in the UK for the sub but my main concerns are 1) there may be an impending model update in March 2) the watch may become available and I can't collect it as I'm based abroad. So I'm thinking, as I already have the Tag is which fine for daily wear at the moment should I develop a relatio
