Patek Philippe Sky Moon Tourbillon Ref. 5002 Watch Available On James List
The Patek Philippe Sky Moon Tourbillon Watch is one of the most famous names in the modern Patek Philippe watch catalog. The over $1 million watch is rare, beautiful, and exotic even by Patek Philippe standards. One of the watches just set a record fetching $1.2 million at auction, by far the highest any watch has gone for at auction in this economy. One of the things I love is the relief engraved sides of the watch that display stylized Patek Philippe Calatrava Crosses - very nice. So why does everyone want a piece of the Sky Moon Tourbillon? Well aside from it being a very complex Patek Philippe watch, it is also very pretty, and have two faces. One of the rare doubles sided watches that can actually pull the look off. The watch came available in gold or platinum, with a bit of a premium for an already premium watch for the latter. What is amazing to me is that the watch is still relatively new having been released in the last few years that you can get watch still in the retail sense
Hands-On: With The Jaquet Droz Grande Heure GMT, With Two Hands And Two Timezones (Live Pics & Pricing)
This is a different kind of travel watch. Instead of the usual second hour hand or extra timezone disk augmenting a two or three hand configuration, Jaquet Droz has done away with all but two hands. Each tells the time on a single 24-hour scale, encouraging a more relaxed interpretation of the time. This is a travel watch designed for the gentleman on a leisurely vacation who only needs subtle reminders of about what time it is, not the man keeping a schedule to the second. With a watch that is this simple on the surface, the key is executing the details properly. And Jaquet Droz has done an admirable job here, making sure the small things are handled well. 2 OF 14 The Grande Heure GMT's asymmetrical hand geometry This starts with the shapes of the two hands. To ensure that both are legible even when they are close to one another, the broad bases have the extended tips offset asymmetrically. This means that when they are "overlapping," there is actually
AP Diver White w/ Titanium Buckle
Hi all, i just recently became a proud owner of an AP 15710ST white and am loving the watch so far. One thing i found perculiar was that i noticed the buckle on my rubber strap indicates Titane on the back which i assume means titanium. I thought the divers comes with stainless steel buckles which will say Acier Inox. And the interesting thing is that my buckle has the polished look on the outer side which looks like SS. anyone with a new white diver also encounter this.
15202or
I recently tried on the 15202OR and the 15400OR. They both were nice but the 15202 seem to fit better on the wrist. In general I am not a big fan of precious metal sports watches, but I could definitely appreciate the weight of the metal. However I may wait for the 15202ST.
Louis Rossel Rolex ?
Good morning all. I am a member of the Equation of Time Forum. We collect Rado watches along with a great variety of other Swiss watches.Recently we have been doing a lot of research on a little known Swiss brand from the 70's called Louis Rossel. As part of our research we came across a 3525 Rolex with Louis Rossel on the dial. We were intrigued so did some more research but cannot find any other 3525's marked in this way. The 'louis Rossel' Rolex seems wrong to me but we are not au fait enough to say for certain. The sub-dials look flat instead of impressed, the numbers above 12 dont follow the same pattern as other 3525's however they do have same pattern as another Rolex Model. The patina looks wrong. The movement doesnt look quite the same as other 3525's.So it could be a Franken, or a complete fake or absolutely genuine.I wonder if you could clarify this for me? . Your words of wisdom would be very much appreciated.
