SIHH 2015: Cartier Rotonde de Cartier Reversed Tourbillon (Updated with Live Photos and Price)
Cartier has introduced more than 100 new watch references at SIHH 2015. One of the most interesting is the Rotonde de Cartier Reversed Tourbillon, a watch whose unconventional flying tourbillon is displayed on a minimalist, sunburst-guilloch dial with an off-center hours and minutes display. The Cartier Rotonde de Cartier Reversed Tourbillon watch carries on the tradition of guilloch work that has been a hallmark of Cartier products since Pierre Cartier began using the technique in his workshops after his journey to Russia and discovery of Faberg creations. On watch dials, the motif used most often is “radiating” guilloche, with engraved rays from a central point. The dial of this Rotonde de Cartier watch is made of non-rhodium-finished white gold; the effect of the sunray guilloch pattern on the material is to create an eye-pleasing pattern of shiny beams of light.?The dial’s other attraction, of course, is the reversed flying tourbillon and its bridges, with the
Bell & Ross BR01 Casino for Only Watch 2011
For Only Watch 2011, Bell & Ross has created the BR01 Casino. The dial is made up of three rotating concentric circles in pink gold. And yes, it does tell the time. Have you worked out how? We’ll tell you inside. The 46mm diameter case is pink gold and PVD, and the roulette-themed display is powered by an automatic ETA 2892-based movement. So what time is it? 10:10 of course. The black-on-white “0” on the outer ring represents the hours, and the small white roulette ball on the center ring denotes the minutes. The central disk bearing the spinner makes one revolution per minute and so represents the seconds. The “wish price” on this piece is 20,000 to 40,000 euros, and should you be the lucky bidder, your unique Casino will be delivered in a fitted box with certificate. The Only Watch 2011 charity auction will take place on September 23 at the Monaco Yacht Show. Forty of the world’s leading luxury wristwatch manufacturers are donating unique and on
Sothebys Reveals Important Watches For May, 2014 Auction
Sponsored PostSotheby's is offering a varied selection of wristwatches, ranging from divers to rare chronographs in their Spring sale, taking place on 14th May, 2014 in Geneva. The morning auction will kick off with an array of modern Rolex Daytonas, which offer a variety of dial styles. The reference 16520 is well represented with two well-preserved watches, lots 34 and 35, featuring a floating Cosmograph dial. The so-called floating dial shows the designation Cosmograph with a marked distance from the Officially Certified line above. Another reference 16520 (lot 53) from a transitional period, believed to have been produced for one year only, displays a rare dial which does not include the Officially Certified feature. In the afternoon, vintage sports model wristwatches will be the stars of the rostrum. A beautifully preserved Rolex Daytona reference 6263 in stainless steel, lot 289, will be one of the first key elements of the sale for Daytona Collectors. Also notable is an e

Can't stop at one...it's becoming an addiction
Hi Fellow TRF PaneristisI bought a PAM 164 (Luminor marina) last year and thought that was the last watch I shall purchase for a while. But now I have been afflicted with the Paneristi addiction and have my eyes set on a Radiomir. Since I spent a good $ 7.7k on the PAM 164, I wanted to get a new Rad within a decent price limit. The one that was piquing my interest was a PAM 380. Plain, simple, nice black seal logo and at a relatively decent $ 4.5k. Only issue I see is the manual wind (56h power reserve) which I am still not too used to as all my other watches are automatics. Any thoughts on PAM 380 or any other Rads within a $ 5k price limit? I plan to be buying the Rad in the UK this summer, so any leads on any good dealers and discounts on new PAMs would be highly appreciated.
