Million Dollar Club 2012: Watch Advertising at All-Time High
In an exclusive report in the upcoming May-June issue of WatchTime, we reveal which watch brands are spending the most on advertising in 2012, a record year for watch-company ad spending, and we provide a complete list of the 60 brands that spent more than $1 million on ads. Watch brands spent more on U.S. advertising in 2012 than ever before. Total spending reached $399.74 million, up 9.3 percent over 2011, according to Kantar Media, which tracks advertising across all media channels. Sixty watch brands spent more than $1 million on advertising, up from 54 brands in 2011. To make the list of the Top 25, a firm had to spend over $3.63 million compared to $3.43 million a year earlier.Ad spending was up for the third consecutive year, after falling sharply in the recession year of 2009. Eterna Super KonTiki Watches For 2015
Eterna seems to have realized that the Super KonTiki watch is a valuable "character" in the brand's DNA and is bringing the famed dive watch back in a strong way for 2015. So for Baselworld 2015, Eterna will be releasing a new Eterna Super KonTiki watch collection in a few colors, and at a relatively decent price. The collection appears durable and attractive, without too much fluff to dissuade purists from being excited about it. Eterna actually has not revealed a comprehensive list of tech specs, so we don't know certain details such as the bezel material, though, I did learn that the water resistance of the case is 200 meters.When we last visited the Eterna Super KonTiki, it was back in 2010, when Eterna (which was a very different company back then) released the limited edition Super KonTiki 1973 (hands-on here). Royal Oak Comfortable?
First post here under the AP section and just looking for some thoughts from you all... Is the 41mm Royal Oak a pretty comfortable piece in comparison to the classic Rolex and Omega diver watches? I believe the RO model numbers starts with 15400... thanks in advance for your feedback.
