UTS 4000M Pacific Horizon Blue Dive Watch
Hand-made German UTS watches are one of those secret tool watch brands that all serious timepiece lovers eventually learn about. Their flagship model range is the 4000M, which now comes with a metallic blue diver as the UTS 4000M Pacific Horizon Blue limited edition dive watch. Produced in Munich, these are some of the most durable timepieces on the planet.Despite its massive water?resistance, the UTS 4000M Pacific Horizon Blue watch does note require a helium release valve, pretty much because it is so darn strong. The sapphire crystal (fully AR coated) is 6mm thick, and UTS uses a special system to hold the crystal in place. Thus, the extra crown on the 4000M watch case is not a helium release valve, but rather a lock to keep the rotating diver's bezel from turning. The bezel further makes use of ceramic ball bearings for the rotation system.UTS produces the cases for each of their watches in Germany, from German steel, and they aren't stamped but rather individually milled. Hands-On: The A. Lange & S?hne Datograph Perpetual Tourbillon (Live Pics, Thoughts)
There’s a reason Ben – and the rest of the team at HODINKEE – dream of the Datograph Perpetual Tourbillon. I mean, it’s a Datograph Perpetual with an added tourbillon. A watch made “just because,” A. Lange & Söhne told a group of dumbfounded journalists during their presentation at SIHH 2015. But it’s a little more complex than that. 1 OF 7 The Datograph Perpetual Tourbillon, whose name stands proudly on the dial, combines a column-wheel chronograph with flyback function, a perpetual calendar with jumping displays, and a tourbillon, inside one of the most desirable watches of the 21st century: the Datograph. They called it “technically impressive,” which is possibly the greatest display of Saxon understatement we’ve ever come across. The first two complications sit elegantly on the dial side while the third hides on the other, under the 12 o’clock position, performing a one-minute rotation t
Why not a screw down crown ?
I love my seamaster which obviously is a screw down crown, but why not the speedmaster? How can some of the speedmasters be rated to 100m and not be a screw down crown? i would be too afraid to wear one in the water, which is a shame bc i really want a speedmaster broad arrow
Last post on the Omega Forum
I must have stumped everyone with my first post or this forum is not very friendly. I will have to stick to Rolex forums where people answer posts (the polite thing to do). However the people on another forum (VRF) answered all my questions. The Rolex site must have more knowledgeable people there. I always enjoy posting and watching my post go down until out of sight w/o one reply. =) maverick
If your Panerai has polished hands...
...does it bother you if the polished hands are not perfect? Meaning they have some sort of flaw/imperfection on them. Either it be scratches or something else. Not like it's very noticeable, but at certain angles and with the right lighting, I can see that the hands on my 233 are slightly scratched. And I recently had it serviced... though I can't be positive that the hands were perfect before the service. Are your polished hands perfect? Is it too much to expect the hands to be perfect?I've noticed this issue too on other brands/watches, so it's probably more common than it should be.
