Debuting at Couture 2015: Porsche Design Chronotimer Series 1
Sports watches with titanium cases are now de rigeur for many luxury brands, but few may realize how revolutionary such a watch seemed back in 1980, when Porsche Design launched the very first such timepiece, the Titanium Chronograph. The new Porsche Design watch collection, called Chronotimer Series 1, which debuts at this week’s Couture watch and jewelry show in Las Vegas, hearkens back to that groundbreaking watch as well as the very first Porsche Design watch, 1972’s Chronograph I.The Porsche Design Chronotimer Series 1 represents a significant step for the brand, which was founded by Ferdinand Alexander Porsche (1935-2012), grandson of the car company founder and designer of the legendary Porsche 911. It is the first complete watch collection independently developed and manufactured by Porsche Design Timepieces AG, based in Solothurn, Switzerland. (Most recently, Porsche Design watches were produced by the Swiss company Eterna as part of a licensing agreement, but that

15400 sheds its scales
Got this inspiration from the Queen Elizabeth II Cup 2011 Royal Oak FYI 15400 uses the same plots and leather strap size as the 15300 and 15202 so those wanting a different look on their 15400, you can purchase the 26/18 OEM straps and plots or get it from APbandsHave a great long weekend everyone !
526 Regatta?
what does everyone think of the Pam 526? I really like the dial and was surprised that it wore comfortably because of the titanium and the rubber strap. I know it's a watch that doesn't exhibit the classic Panerai characteristics and it's quite costly. Is it a strong seller? How is the movement's reliability? Any owners here? Thanks in advance.
Explorer II 16570
Quick Question,I have 3 automatics in my daily rotation and wanted to get y'alls opinion. I have a 2005 black dial stick 36mm datejust (smooth bezel, all brushed oyster bracelet). Is that watch different enough from my Polar Explorer II 16570?I realize both can be considered sports watches. But I feel I can certainly dress up my datejust a lot easier (despite it being a non-fluted, non-jubilee). More recently I started asking myself if those are too similar and wanted to get others opinion on the matter. I realize most of it comes down to personal preference. I do like that dial color makes them totally different as well.My 3rd watch is a 36mm pilot (grey dial on a brown alligator strap). Not that it matters, but gives you perspective of my full luxury lineup (generic pics attached).
