DeWitt Twenty-8-Eight Regulator A.S.W.
At Baselworld 2010 DeWitt debuted their first in-house movement – Caliber DW8014. This year the movement will appear in an all-new watch, the Twenty-8-Eight Regulator A.S.W. The automatic-winding movement boasts notable technical features at each end of the gear train. The mainspring is wound by a bi-directional peripheral rotor that allows an unobstructed view of the movement. The mainspring itself incorporates DeWitt’s patented Automatic Sequential Winding (A.S.W.) system which allows the single barrel to distribute constant energy to the gear train while delivering a 72 hour power reserve. At the other end, a Straumann balance spring with a Phillips terminal curve powers deadbeat seconds that are in direct contact with the tourbillon cage.Outside, the watch pays tribute to Art D��co design, and in particular to 1930s New York. Planning on first Patek, 5146G
