Flip 2 ROO 44's for a Datograph?
I have not made a decision yet, so am just contemplating at this point. Would you flip both a RG 44 and Ti 44 for an ALS Datograph?
Making a move to AP... Concerns!
Hi guys. I've been thinking of making the step up to an AP for my next purchase. However, I'm a bit concerned about the steel bezel picking up dings and scratches. I've seen some preowned models for sale with pretty horrendous gashes in them. Question is what do you guys think? Are they like butter? I'd really appreciate some pics of daily worn roo's etc. there seems to be a lot of pics of brand new ones on the site so far and not many 'lived in' watches.Specifically, I'm thinking of getting either the new 41mm royal oak or a ROO black themes (on bracelet). Any opinions on which would be the best choice between these two? Thanks in advance!
I had to let her go...
I only had one room for a chrono in my watch collecting and I had to let this one go... she will be missed . At least she went to a good friend who is also a WIS.
What happens when your grail gets no time?
For years, YEARS, I pined for a Rolex Submariner two tone (Bluesy). It was my grail and I did and do love the piece. I saved and final got it about 2 years ago.I also have the 50th anniversary sea dweller, which gets ALL the wrist time, I love it. The size, the proportions, you name it. Even when I try to take it off, I can't!Now my poor Bluesy sits in a safe, getting zero wrist time. I still love it, its a stunning, timeless piece, in my opinion. That being said, I just don't see it fitting me. I have a hard time finding a time to wear it, if that makes sense. So my question is, do I just sell it? That's a bit of cash tied up in something that while I love, never sees the lights of day. Thanks all.Yeti
5-digit case profile white gold Submariner (16619)
I added a poll option so all the purists can vent their rage...I can't stand the super case profile on the new Subs, GMTs, etc. I've tried to like them and have owned them in the past - including an 116619. I sold them all and now own only a 16613.I have the opportunity to have an 116619 customized to exactly match the 5-digit case profile. I don't expect to ever sell it if I do this, but never is a long time. I know some purists will call this a franken. I know some people will say I'd never touch it. The market to sell will be smaller. That said, I'm trying to get an idea of the approximate real cost of doing this to decide if it's worth it to me. Real cost = cost of customization + depreciation hit. Thanks for helping!
