Luminox Supports 30-Mile Dive To Highlight Endangered Sharks; Launches Limited Edition Watches
On September 17, undersea explorer and combat diver Scott Cassell completed a 30-mile dive from Catalina Island to San Pedro, California. Scott’s goals: to call attention to endangered shark species that are approaching the edge of extinction, and to set a world distance record for the longest uninterrupted dive. Find specs and prices for the new watches inside. The dive took place in the Catalina Channel where Cassell has been diving for years. According to Cassell, less than 20 years ago this area would have produced between 40 and 100 shark sightings in a single dive. On Saturday however, he encountered literally no sharks during his 11 hours underwater, despite using shark attractors during the entire dive. Orient Monarch Review
For those of us without deep pockets, Orient watches present an incredible value. With their solid built quality, reliable workhorse movements (in-house, I might add), and often pleasing designs, they are hard to argue against, and they're often on the short list when people ask us to point them in the direction of affordable and well-built mechanical watches. One thing that Orient does exceptionally well is dress pieces. The ever-popular Bambino series is a great case in point, as are numerous watches across their Star and Classic collections. Today, we're going hands-on with a new member to the latterthe Monarch.Introduced in early Fall 2015, the Monarch is a unique vintage-inspired addition to the Orient family. I say unique because it is one of the few manual winders in the brand's catalogue. Beyond that, it also features a domed sapphire crystal, a power-reserve indicator, and an exhibition case backelements not often seen on a watch priced at a MSRP of $335, but even less so in
Question on Navitimer
Hi folksI'm looking to buy a 38mm Breitling and have narrowed it down to ref A41330 or A41370What I have been able to find out is that the only difference is mineral or sapphire crystal (except the caseback)But I have also seen mineral models range to 2005 and sapphires from early 2000...Whats up with those 2 models? Is there A41330 with sapphire or just mineral? Can they bee replaced with sapphire? Thanks in advanced
Please help new watch owner identify this Omega Constellation
Hey guys. Newly registered user to this forum, but I have been on here before, checking out some awesome watches. But anyways, my dad has recently let me have his Omega Connie that he's had for some time. I am unsurprisingly super excited about this inheritance, but also very curious about this watch. I've searched and searched for details about this watch, but couldn't find anything :/All I know about this watch is that my dad got it from a friend in around 1993. I'm a complete novice when it comes to watches :/I'm hoping that someone here can help me out! Here are some pictures:Thanks in advance!!
