A. Lange & S?hne Lange 1 Tourbillon Handwerkskunst Celebrates 20 Years of Lange 1
Who says you can’t go home again? Horological history repeated itself last week at Dresden’s Royal Palace, where A. Lange & S?hne introduced the limited-edition Lange 1 Tourbillon Handwerkskunst, a watch made to commemorate the 20th anniversary of the Saxon brand’s iconic Lange 1 watch, which debuted at the same venue two decades prior.October 24, 1994, marked the rebirth of the A. Lange & S?hne watch brand, founded in Glashtte, in the German state of Saxony near Dresden, in 1845 by Ferdinand Adolphe Lange. Dormant since 1948, after the post-War occupation of East Germany by the Soviet Union, the brand was resurrected by the founder’s great grandson, Walter Lange, in the German reunification year of 1990. HourTime Show Watch Podcast Episode 112 - Back in the Saddle
We talk about Rolex's strategy of advertising on YouTube, the lack of new media savvy in the industry as a whole, then we delve into the extremely interesting Cartier ID2 air-free, transparent case concept watch with a power reserve of 32 days that you can't buy. The correct pronunciation of "Quixotic" is introduced into our running narrative. We also spend some time waxing poetic (again) on RGM's American-made timepieces.? And, Rolex does not use silicon in their watches.Listen to the HourTime show watch podcast episode 112 here. Download the MP3 here.
Romain Jerome Launches Lifestyle Blog
Following in the steps of MB&F with their A Parallel World blog, Romain Jerome has now launched their own blog dedicated not their watches, but to the things that inspire the design of their watches. With an emphasis on design, precious materials, the avant garde, and steampunk that items on blog are certainly of value to those fascinated with the brand.? They wanted to have about two weeks of posts up before the official launch (which is now), so if you are interested in what RJ wants you to think of when you see their watches - you can check out RJ-Timeoutwatches-dealer.
Need tips buying my first Royal Oak
HeyI am buying myself a RO. I just want some input from people with experience.Currently I only have one offer, to trade my 116610 (fullset, 2012) with a guy and pay about $4700 to get a 15202 (no box, no paper) from 2004 but in very good condition. Service history unknown, so it might be in need of a full service. Is that a good deal? I was going for a 15300 at first but this is what I got at the moment. I don't know what I miss if I get the 15202.If this isn't a good deal, what is? Please help me and if you have tips where to look (some shop, dealer or anything) in Europe it would be great to know!Grateful for the help I can get!
Incoming - 15300
Thanks Rolex Forums for draining my wallet. Again.
