Linde Werdelin Oktopus II Double Date Watch
I've seen where Linde Werdelin has come from and I see where it is going. Quickly adapting to the market the small brand is a unique example of both flexibility and independence in an industry where such concepts are not as common as they might seem. Their major timepiece launch for 2012 is the Oktopus II, and I recently spent some time on a call with the brand's co-founder Jorn Werdelin to discuss the new watch. The Oktopus II is not a singular piece but part of a new family. While conceptually the same, the II it is a very different watch compared to the original Linde Werdelin Oktopus timepiece. Starting with the II it is clear that the Oktopus range will be a more or less long-term member of the Linde Werdelin family. Almost none of the original watches from the brand are still made, but each is being carried on thematically in more interesting ways. What is still consistent among all their pieces is use of the special case design that allows for the LW wrist Instruments to be attac

Once in a lifetime... my journey to acquire my grail (lots of pics)
There are a few moments in our lives where we know is very special. This weekend was one of mine.As some of you know from my recent threads, I’ve been a Panerai guy for the last 10 years. A couple years ago, I started looking at APs mainly due to a fellow car guy - s14roller. It was a lot more expensive than what I wanted to spend so I tabled that for a few years (but I have still browsed the AP forums periodically). After a long year at work, I decided to treat myself with my first AP. I didn’t know much of AP at all (and am still learning now) so I looked at a lot of pics and bugged a LOT of people with questions (once again, mainly Jack - s14roller, peter - wx watches, Sam – 911cab, etc). Looked at Panda, new panda, the Beast, Ti-grays theme, and RG rubberclad… all were nice watches but none of them “spoke to me.”Until… I saw the RB2Ti. Being a car guy, it was easy to be drawn to this LE. I’m not eloquent with words so the best
A Story of Betrayal
I've always considered myself a Royal Oak purist and felt that I could never betray my love for the 39mm original Royal Oak. Well, I was wrong. I just received this gorgeous 15400 and couldn't be happier. This watch is something else in person. Excuse the iPhone pics. More to come. Question about automatic Speedmasters
I know that the reduced is automatic and like the name states, smaller in size. I've owned both the Pro and the reduced. What is the size of the other auto speedies out there such as the MK40 or some of the other variations of the auto? Are they all based on the Reduced sized housing or are they the same size as the Pro? Thanks, LF
