Pre-Basel: Breitling for Bentley GMT “V8”
To celebrate the launch of the Continental GT V8 with its powerful new 4.0 V8 engine, Breitling has created a 250-piece limited series of the Bentley GMT chronograph. Its distinguishing feature is the mobile inner city bezel created in a metallic red shade, creating a sporting contrast with the black dial. This vivid splash of color reflects the red background of the Bentley emblem that sets the Continental GT V8 model apart from other models. Find the USA price (for the watch) inside. The Bentley GMT offers a clever multiple timezone display. It is equipped with an additional red triangle-tipped hour hand completing one rotation every 24 hours. The pushpiece housed in the left side of the case adjusts this hand forward in one-hour increments in order to display the second timezone C while distinguishing between day and night hours. Thanks to a rotating inner bezel bearing the names of the 24 cities, the user can also instantly read off the time in all the world's timezones in relation
HourTime Show Watch Podcast Episode 122 - Sleepy Time in Watchland
We battle it out over the coolness or lameness of the Morgenwerk Satellite Precision watches. We then talk about the final versions of the HYT H1 hydromechanical watch, as well as the awesome new Jaeger-LeCoultre AMVOX 7 Chronograph. Then we try to understand and sum up the new watch brand by, and featuring his royal undeadness, Karl Lagerfeld.Listen to the HourTime Show Watch Podcast Episode 122 here. Download the MP3.
PPPP (another incoming thread!)
Finally the Proud Papa of a Patek Phillipe! Like I said earlier Happy #$% Birthday to me!Just wanted to say a BIG THANKS to all on here who responded to my earlier query and/or PM'd me with recommendations. Thanks to a wonderful referral here on the forum I was able to find and purchase through an AD. The AD very kindly shipped everything in the PP factory sealed packaging. The watch was actually in a separate plastic pouch from the box. But what kinda impressed me was that the box was very carefully wrapped in white tissue paper. The dealer added some Patek Phillipe literature, a nice touch....Yay! Still can't quite believe it. Since I'm GMT-4 I think 4pm local looks quite cool...like it almost forms a perfect triangle of time. So, fun fact (at least to me)...I was admiring my date correction pen/stylus or whatever it's called....(side note, watch had some tool marks around the 3-4 o'clock position of the brushed bezel just kinda visible in this photo...kind of a weird bumm
What are your thoughts on the 5100p
I find myself recently, and strangely rather, being drawn to the unconventional shape of the 5100, particularly with the black dial(p). Should I snap out of it and just take my medications as advised and forget about it?? Just wondering what others thoughts are on this watch?
what i noticed while in the car... unexpected reflection
this caught my eye and i thought .... yeah thats niceanybody else ever catch an unexpected reflection?
