Seiko Spirit SCVE003 Review
Have you ever fallen for something instantly and unexpectedly? It's happened to me with people, places, designs, and, in this case, a watch. Now it might seem strange that my love of this watch was unexpected, since Seiko is one of my absolute favorite brands, but if you had described to me a watch with a red-accented silver dial, 40 mm case with 18 mm wire lugs, and an off-centered 24-hour indicator, I probably would have given you a hard "PASS."? Thankfully instead, I saw it first C and here we are.Seiko Spirit SCVE003 ReviewCase: Polished stainless steelMovement: Seiko 4R37ADial: Silver/White with red accentsLume: NoLens: Sapphire crystalBracelet: Stainless steelWater Res.: 10 atm (330 ft)Dimensions: 40.5 x 47.3 mmThickness: 13.2 mmLug Width: 18 mmCrown: 5.5 x 3 mmWarranty: 1 year through Seiko, 2 Years through AmazonPrice: ~$200CaseAt 40 mm, the SCVE003's case is right in my sweet spot for a casual sports watch. LiquidMetal: does it live up to hype?
I currently do not own an Omega, but saw that at least one of their models has a Liquidmetal case. If someone owns one, I would appreciate feedback on scratch resistance and weight compared to Titanium or other metals.I visited the Liquidmetal website and naturally it placed LM above Ti, steel, etc. in all categories. And Apple has made several proprietary contracts with LM, suggesting the iPhone6 or another Apple device will have a LM case. But I was hoping to hear from an owner about the LM properties. And if it is so great, why aren't other major watch makers using it?Thanks in advance.
Made a mistake...
I have been looking for a co-axial SMP bond for a while now, and yesterday I came across one for sale here in the classified. Looked great, and the seller had plenty of rep, so I impulsively bought it. Once paid for and shipped, I was doing a little surfing, trying to source a speedmaster style bracelet for it (which i prefer to the bond bracelet), when realized that I just bought a mid-sized watch, which I imagine will look silly on my ape-like 7 3/4 wrists. So now I'm stuck with a useless watch. I don't really have much else to say, other then i want to smash my head against a wall for being an impulsive idiot, and not checking the model number before I paid for something. Sigh. And I'm sure I won't learn from this...
Speedy Co-axial
Hi. I am sitting by the phone waiting for the call from my AD to tell me my new Speedy Co-axial Chronogrph has finally arrived. Has any one here had theirs arrive yet ? I am so looking forward to seeing and owning this watch as I purchased it really from just a photograph. Bit nervious though now waiting ......
Which one ??
Hi Guys,Which one of these looks like a better fit to you? Do you guys find the Daytona too small? I know these are two very different watches but I like them both ,and I'm looking at another piece from a different brand and will just keep one of these , I know that the Daytona will be harder to replace but I don't want that to affect my decision. For reference wrist size is 7.25-7.3 depending on how hot it is.I'll get use out of both and like I said like them both , I'm looking for your opinion on the size and fit. Thanks Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
