A solution to both these dilemmas is becoming more and more popular. Using one of several processes, you can change the color of your favorite watches to create brand new styles.Although many treatments and colors are available, PVD is most often used to blacken watches. Physical vapor deposit (PVD) applies a thin layer of metallic particles to the watch surface to achieve the color change. Because the particles are so evenly distributed, the finish of your timepiece remains the same as before the process. I wanted to share my Precista PRS-14, a SM300 Homage. I recently outfitted the watch with an original Omega 1171 Bracelet w/the proper endlinks (filed to fit).I had already thought it was a lot of watch for the money, but now the bracelet brings it to a whole new level. Hope you like.

An Aquanaut for a dressy event?
This may be a silly question but something i have struggled with a bit. I need to travel out of town for a wedding--- in spring. I will spend some extra time with friends and family. I am going for a wedding and I will likely have to walk down the isle and wear a tuxedo. I am generally not a high fashion guy but I wanted to know opinion if wearing a Patek 5164 would be inappropriate. I have more formal watches like a Lange Timezone 1 and Journe CS both in RG and the later on a black strap. But because most of my time will be in informal settings I would feel more comfortable with my Patek 5164 or even Patek 5712 (both SS). I realize the Patek is on a rubber strap but it is black and will folks even notice.. it is black.. I also do not like taking extra watches with me. Has anyone worn an aquanaut in a similar situation?
