Watches NEWS
This or That - Playing Field Leveled
So I had a chance to stop by the NYC AP Boutique...yet again. And the lovely people there had both a new 15400 and a new 15300 (with the updated clasp and bracelet). So for me it's now all about which size is best for me. I don't really have much of an opinion about dial design but I do think that if I went for a 15300 I'd look for a white dial with the updated clasp/bracelet as it makes the watch look a little bigger (Mike's continuous barrage of pics also helps)Here are the pics. I hate you all for pushing me into the awesome and expensive world of Audemars Piguet.
So thanks guys, I made my decision!
Thanks again for all the feedback in my last thread, I really did appreciate it.When it came down to it, I wanted something different that pushed me out of my normal collection, and this piece did it.The BEST part about this piece for me is how it is constantly different looking in different lighting. Everytime I look at it, it is different. The best angle, which I haven't caught on camera yet, is when I am outside under blue skies, the piece just beams with a touch of blue radiance, like when a clean diamond is outside. I find myself constantly looking at new subtle details I hadn't noticed prior.I left the plastic on these pictures, I finally decided to keep it, as my AD gave me three days with it to make sure I was happy. The milling on the steel is impeccable!Glad to be part of the AP club, this one is a keeper! Here are two small pics that show the drastic difference in lighting in the span of 5 minutes.
Incoming, a deviation
In an effort to help a friend score his first Rolex I sold him my 216570 Polar..at something of a deal. So, I decided to pocket a bit and pick up a non-Rolex, whitey. I'm really pretty stoked about this piece. It's really nice. Pay attention to the color variation in the bezel, we will be discussing this later when my BLRO shows up. Thanks all.E-IMG_5403.JPGIMG_5404.JPGIMG_5405.JPG
Omega LED time computers
Any idea where I can get more info on TC series? I just bought two of them from a friend. Both look a little different One has the Omega logo on the crystal and one does not. I have a lot of omegas, but these are the geekiest I have seen so far.Did not get a chance to take pictures yet, will post soon.
Watch Time's Review of the 5711
Another member just posted a link in another thread to a review on the 5711 conducted by Watch Time upon it's release in 2006 on the Nautilus's 30th Anniversary.Because it was posted in the AP subforum I thought I would repost it here as well.Quote:
