Chime In On A FC Chrono 44mm?
I've been looking for another watch to feed my habit and I've been offered a month old FC Chrono. I've never handled the watch. I have tried on an FC Diver and I liked it. That watch is now on the wrist of my friend YYZPAM. The price I'm quoted is OK not great. Any opinions from current and former owners? Now I'm being realistic and nothing is for ever. How was the watch to resell? I only ask because there are a few on the web that have been around for a long time.
ROO dilemma - Diver for Panda?
Looking for some opinions. Would you trade a Diver on bracelet for a Panda on bracelet? A little backstory -- I've been wanting a Panda since it came out. It's just during the last few months that I grew the cajones to spend money on an AP. I bought the Diver a few weeks ago and added a bracelet. I got it to basically test out the Roo line as I wasnt sure I could live with the size for everyday wear. I figured it would wear almost the same as the chrono and it was a good deal at that time. Grew to love the Diver, but a potential trade for a Panda is possible. So would you guys do it? Unfortunately, I can't have both and saving up and waiting isn't an option (have other responsibilities as the wife says )
For All Mankind - Some Questions
Just finished watching the excellent film documentary For All Mankind on DVD. I'd thoroughly recommend it for any space buffs with the added bonus of some cool Speedy wrist shots ;-)I have a couple of questions. Some of the astronauts appeared to have their Speedies on SS mesh bracelets. How did they swap them back to Velcro straps for EVA work during the flight? I have enough trouble swapping straps with a lug tool and screwdriver with the aid of gravity (or was bracelet swapping part of standard NASA training?!)?Also, why do the earth orbit EVA shots 15min or so in look like something out of a Ray Harryhausen movie? I'm a total Apollo anti-cynic, but I have to admit this footage looks a little ropey. Is it the film frame rate? One last question. What music would you have chosen to play on the way? My choice - Elton John 'Rocket Man' (cliche, I know)
Keep PAM 557 or swap it for PAM 346
Thinking that all I have is an itch ; and all I need to do is to let it take its course and do nothing. Or maybe I am up to something. Doesn't matter , is fun to hear out opinions and things that never crossed my mind. It matters to me things like resale , coolness , scarcity , etc Also I also had the idea that Luminor with the crown guard is the staple of Panerai ; but it also true that the original Panerai is the Radiomir This Radiomir brings a power reserve in the back, date and seconds that my 557 doesn't . But the 47 case and the Vintage allure of the 557 has its magic as well. Kind of a catch 22 Shot !
Incoming. After 3 long months wait
Hi GuysI want to thank you all for helping me making the decision on picking up this watch. see this thread belowhttps://.rolexforums/showthread.php?t=580234After 3 long months, the watch arrived. Although not the blue dial that I originally put my name on, I still love it and super happy that I got it. Here are some pictures.Watch is not sized yet, plus I am at work. So I can't put it on. It is sitting beautifully next to the D-blue that I am wearing today.
