Picked up a nice two tone Royal oak, absolutely loving it. Just wished I could take a decent close up with my Nikon Got quoted 150 for a service from a local independent Watchmaker, can i trust him to deal with an AP? *amended
Navitimer 8 B01
Well here we are. I had higher hopes for the breitling reboot. No slide rule? No 8 day PR but call it the 8 anyways? (Photo Hodinkee)https://.hodinkee/articles/br...01-introducing
Speedmaster 57 Retro
I haven't seen anyone talking about this model which is surprising because I think it's one of the best watches from Basel this year.I loved the Speedmaster 57 when they first introduced it two years ago, but the lack of the broad arrow hour hand definitely bothered me. They called it the 57, but it lacked identity. I liked that they used it in the sub dial, but thought it would have been better as the hour hand. I also didn't like the PCLs which have also been changed for this version. Now the center links are brushed and the outer thinner links are polished. They have addressed those concerns, but they made another design choice that I'm conflicted about.Vintage Lume.I'm conflicted because I think this version looks fantastic. The black dial and the tan color of the lume look great together. I also like how the lume areas are recessed instead of applied indices. The problem is that forced vintage looks which is obviously what they are going for.Not in stores until July, but from what
Watch Photos Part 8
Hi. This is the final watch in my Omega Collection upto 2011. Its the 38mm Red Gold and Stainless Steel Constellation with the Cal 8500 movement. Not the most Popular Omega watch in Europe or the USA but by far Omegas best seller in Asia and when you see it in person I think you can see why. The larger 38mm size just fits nicely on my 8.5 wrist. I have had a bit of fun trying to vary the photos a bit this time. Hope you enjoy
Chipped my cristal
Hello,So, after 15 years of abusing daily my Explorer I only had to service it at regular intervals. Some months ago I bought a diver watch to give this a rest and now I found that I have chipped the cristal at the edge of the 8 hour (pics are magnified). I just received it back from its last service 3 weeks ago. Any idea on how much a replacement could be? Are there any alternatives to replacement? Thanks in advance for your support. Best regards,
