New Rpaige DuoFace Timepiece: Birth Of A Watch
Sponsored PostAbout 3 years ago, I decided that the time had come for me to design and manufacture my own watch. I'd been collecting for more decades than I can remember, and I'm somewhat of a person of notoriety in the watch world. I'm a fourth generation watchmaker, had several high profile watch stores in California, and founded TimeZonewatches-dealer, the first website dedicated to watches. I had also worked with a few well-known watch companies that created a limited edition watch series for TimeZonewatches-dealer. So, this wasn't my first rodeo" of watches.I successfully designed, manufactured, and marketed my first watch under my new watch company, Rpaige Watch, in January of 2013, and I'm more than pleased with the success of my first official watch, The Rpaige Wrocket Watch. This watch utilizes an antique or vintage 12 size American pocket watch movement. I produced several dial variations of the watch, and then went full speed ahead with original antique dials using hunter c
First AP for the wifey need suggestion
Hello all, want to add my wife's collection with an AP lady offshore so that I can get away with more purchases this year. She wears her watch daily and a little on the rough side (I hate it when she hits her watch to the underside of a table but she does this relatively often). I am wondering how well either of these will go with a few knocks here and there. Will the fc ceramic combination be a more lasting choice or a more fragile ones? She usually does not bang her watch hard but sometimes it happens. Thanks in advance.
Huge Omega fan about to buy a Rolex...
Hello all,Here are my 2 Omegas. ImageUploadedByTapatalk1370810644.453751.jpgImageUploadedByTapatalk1370810655.286410.jpgThe Seamaster was a 21st birthday present from my mum and dad. I have worn in 24/7 365 days a year ever since. The De Ville is circa 1980 around the time I was born. I really love the simplicity of this watch. As much as I love my Seamaster and will keep it forever I have always dreamed over owning a Rolex Submariner. Well my 30th birthday is coming up soon so I feel the time is right to treat myself. I have mixed emotions really. I'm very excited to get the Sub on my wrist however the Omega has been my daily watch for 9 years and has never put a foot wrong!
Bracelet for 5726A-001
Does anyone know if you can purchase and place the stainless steel bracelet on the 5726A-001 which comes on a strap? The strap looks nice on the Nautilus but it would nice to know if one can retrofit the bracelet as well.
Daytona decision time...
As some of you will remember, back in June 2015 I hatched a plan with my good lady wife over a wine-fuelled afternoon in London. The plan was to develop a savings plan that would enable me to add a Royal Oak and Nautilus to my collection, with a birth-year Sub 5513 to follow. The plan has worked very well in terms of funding, but less well in terms of ending up with the target collection!Since that day, I have added a Daytona 116500, a Silver Dial Royal Oak 15450, a blue dial Royal Oak 15450, and a Reverso; as well as adding an IWC Portofino to my wife's small collection. It all started to go wonky when they brought out the new Daytona (I know Paddy, it's not really new!) just as I was about to buy a Royal Oak. Following the Daytona diversion, I purchased a silver dial 15450 because I didn't think I'd be able to get a blue dialled one as they had only just been announced. And then, thanks to this forum, a blue dial model presented itself and I had to have it!As many of you will have expe
