Michael Sarp Named Chairman of the Board at Armin Strom
Former IWC CEO Michael Sarp has been named Chairman of the Board of Directors at the Swiss watch manufacturer Armin Strom AG. His previous activities have included managing various exclusive brand-name companies in the luxury goods market. Sarp also served as Chairman of the Executive Board at the Swatch Group Germany. He oversaw IWC during the late 1990s, leaving the company in 2001, shortly after Gunter Blumlein’s death. Sarp helped lay the foundation for IWC’s long-term success. The Caliber 5000 in-house movement was introduced during his tenure in 2000, and he was responsible for IWC’s successful “Since 1868, and for as long as there are men” advertising campaign.Since 2003, Sarp has been CEO of v. Nordeck International Holding AG, to which the Swiss brands Zimmerli textiles and Fritschi alpine touring bindings belong.Serge Michel remains the CEO of Armin Strom. He has been at this post since 2008. The two men will work together to continue building th
Concord C1 Chronograph Watch Design Critique: Mistake Of Form Over Function
A good deal of thought goes into the design of most watches. The result must be a blend of attractive visual elements combined with the features necessary for the watch to adequately tell the time. There is no "correct" way to do this, but the skilled designer must take take both the concept of form and function seriously. A watch falling too far to either extreme can be devoid of appeal.Recently, the Concord brand has begun an image re-haul. The Movado owned watch brand was due for revitalization. Having had success with the Concord La Scala and Concord Saratoga lines, nothing serious has come out of Concord in about 10 years. In fact the La Scala and Saratoga watches are wonderful designs, attractive and pleasantly unique. Movado however felt the brand needed to be thrust in a new direction. Newly appointed Concord CEO Vincent Perriard has a background in marketing, not watch design. His enthusiasm is admirable, but he has yet to prove himself as a watch branding whiz. Movado has giv
15400/26320/26321 plots
Hi everybody! Can somebody explain why the AP Bands conversion kit costs more then the genuine plots?I went to Milano's boutique today to see if they have the conversion kit in stock and they do! The sales agent saved for me until tomorrow because she will check if she can get the blue leather or rubber strap for me, as long as my 26321 is blue. The plots costs EUR200.00! In AP Bands they charge Us $440.00 for the same thing wich is not OEM....apbands/PROD/APB-RO-CONV.htmlEnviado de meu SM-G930F usando Tapatalk

Patek AD Visit
I stopped by my AD today just to look around. I hadn't been there for quite awhile. It's a good thing too as they just recieved a couple of Pateks. This is the first time I had ever seen a Patek Chronograph in person. They just recieved a 5170 which they had ordered 2 years ago. Gorgeous watch, I'm sure someone will purchase it fairly soon. They had a couple of 5130's, and a 5205 Annual which looked real nice. Then he showed me a 5726 which was real intriguing. Unfortunately I couldn't take any pictures but I really did enjoy my visit, I definitely saw more than what I expected to see.
