Adolph swaddling history is on watches
In addition to his learning, Adolph Lange also attended classes at night in English and French at the technical college newly engaged. It was clear to him from the beginning that only in England and France it would be able to make progress he wished, for these were the two countries, which had been major advances in the science of the measurement of time.
New Poll: 5990 vs 5980
Although I did not start the earlier thread--- There were a lot of requests for a new poll... which one do you prefer--- 5980 vs 5990? If you already own or are currently considering.. or if you had to pick which one? Has your mind changed over time? 5990 on the left and 5980 on the rightMe: Like both but own and still would select the 5990.
Patek Service?

Grey market - how to curtail?
So we all have views on the Grey market. To me it just sells the product at market value and should/will always exist. What bothers me is that Rolex is not doing enough to curtail it.I am aware of how the grey dealers may obtain these watches. I doubt many of their watches come direct from the Ads (buy 5 of my hard to shift models and have a Daytona) - That would be too easy even for Rolex to discover and shut the offending Ads supply down. Many of these watches will come from individuals that have their name down for select models at numerous Ads.So how do you think Rolex should address this issue? A few suggestions:1.Make the warranty non transferrable so it's only valid with the initial purchaser (Rolex would make more money, or could possibly extend the warranty to say 10 years for the initial purchaser)2.A central data base of names on waiting lists at all Ads C anybody with their name on more than one list for the same watch gets removed from all lists.3.Deposit payable on enter
Datejust 41 vs Datejust 36
Recently I've been thinking about getting Datejust 36. There is a talk that DJ 41 is actually not 41 but somewhere near 39mm. So, does anyone has both watches to compare? I would be interested in 36mm but if DJ 41 is 39, I might try that one. Also, I'm expecting DJ 36 to get the new movement next year as there has been no upgrade from 2005(I think). Currently DJ 41 is best bet but if DJ36 is getting 3235 movement, I will go with DJ36. The color I'm interested in DJ36!!
