5 Things You Should Know About the Audemars Piguet LeBron James Royal Oak Offshore
With the NBA playoffs in full swing, and LeBron James’s Cleveland Cavaliers moving on to the second round, we re-present our feature on the Audemars Piguet Royal Oak Offshore LeBron James limited edition, launched in fall 2013, which had the design input of James himself. Here are five things to know about the timepiece. 1. It’s not what one usually expects in a star athlete-branded sports watch. “King James’s” Audemars Piguet is not predominantly black; it does not display his current team’s colors or his jersey number; it has no obvious references to his sport (i.e., the baseball counterweight on the seconds hand of Randy Johnson’s Ulysse Nardin or the basketball pattern on James’s teammate Dwyane Wade’s Hublot); and it’s not even overly large (the case is a relatively modest 44 mm in diameter). The color scheme choice of light gray (in certain light, it appears almost off-white) for the dial and alligator strap, combin
Archimede Outdoor Protect and PVD Review
A couple of years ago, we got the chance to review the Archimede Outdoor. We were impressed back then, but in the years that have past, have longed to revisit the watch. Not simply because we missed it, which we did, but because in those 2 years, we've seen so many watches that I kept thinking, "wow, the Outdoor was really unique… Perhaps more unique than we gave it credit for originally." Which is true, there isn't anything else quite like the Outdoor; it's a daily watch, a tool watch, a field watch, a sport watch…all wrapped up into a compact, understated and well-priced package. If that weren't enough, they've also released two new versions of the watch, one of which replaced the version we originally reviewed. The new versions are the Protect, which features a hardened steel case (more on that later) and the PVD, which is simply PVD coated. They also had released a full-lume dial option at some point, which seemed worth examining. So, today we're going to look at one of
Bulova BaselWorld 2015 Highlights
Bulova is celebrating their 140th year in continuous business this year, and they are introducing some new lines to celebrate. They are also moving their corporate headquarters back to New York in the Empire State Building, which is neat if you ask me. Bulova of course has an incredible history, and to honor that history they are borrowing a little from their illustrious past. Some of the new offerings that debuted at Basel are pretty cool, but some miss the mark a bit as far as truly honoring their past goes. Bulova will be using their proprietary Ultra High Frequency (UHF) quartz movement in most of their watches for 2015. While I'm not a fan of quartz, these are really interesting. The Bulova-made movement uses a three pronged quartz crystal that vibrates at 262 kHz, eight times that of a standard quartz movement. This give increased accuracy (to within a few seconds per year), and allows for a continuous sweeping hand. The highlights of the 2015 introductions are the Sea King

Please advise on Coke GMT Master ii cyclops magnification.
Hello all, this is my first post here. I've just bought this used GMT Master II from a reputable jewellers, with 2 year guarantee. The watch dates from 1991 but is in excellent condition and has been serviced. However, the date magnification under the cyclops seems almost non existant. I've looked at 100's of pics online but haven't seen anything as weak as this? I can return the watch but would love advise from you knowledable people. Did I buy a lemon, or am I being too picky?
