Watches NEWS
Guest Editor Of New Luxury Magazine "High"
Those of you in Singapore can pick up a copy of High magazine - which recently hit newsstands. It published by MediaCorp, and it's about watches, jewelry, fashion, lifestyle, and health. All for high-net worth individuals. I am proud to be one of the guest editors, and it was really cool to see my name right there on the cover. It should come as no surprise that I write about watches in the magazine. The magazine is also both in English and Chinese. A fellow guest editor is actually Dr. Andrew Weil who is a really well-known doctor who writes books about healthy living. He is a cool guy and was actually a professor at the University of Arizona while I was going there. Anyhow, my recommendation to luxury loving Singaporeans is to go outand get High.
Under The Radar: The Design Merits Of The Bell & Ross WW1 Rgulateur Pink Gold
This isn't a new watch and this isn't an old watch. In fact, the Bell & Ross WW1 Régulateur Pink Gold was announced last year for Baselworld 2013 (eons ago, considering the staccato frequency of watch releases lately). So why take a look now? Well, why not? While the movement is nothing extraordinary, the WW1 Régulateur falls into the former aesthetically-minded category, which makes it worth bringing into the office for a few hands-on photos. 1 OF 5 With its Vintage Collection, Bell & Ross pulls design cues from the early days of horology (not from the company's own product archives – they were only founded in 1992.) The majority of these elements can be observed in the case design: a simple, almost monastic round case with well-
5196..too big
Had a chance to try on a 5196 at boutique today.Case was flat with lugs not adapting to wrist well..leaving gaps wide opened. Looks and feels like a 40mm watch..which is dreadful for a dress watch.Dial lacks contrast and very difficult to read. Too much empty spaces on dial as well.Really wanna love this but gotta past. :(Ymmv
