TX Watches Of Interest For 2009 At JCK Las Vegas
You've probably seen an ad or two for TX watches.? Or you may not know anything about the American brand. Their collection offers interesting and appealing timepieces each with exclusive quartz movements that you won't find elsewhere. I don't like each watch in their 2009 lineup, but some of the pieces are done quite well. Here are a few of my favorite watches that I got to check out at the TX TechnoLuxury watch booth in Las Vegas earlier this month at the JCK show.This first watch proves that white watches are cool. It is one of the 800 Series TX Linear Chronograph watches - so named for the vertical chronograph minutes indicator. There is also a retrograde dial that serves as a second timezone and the overall design of the dial is unique and edgy. The white tones persist through the watch (obviously), but don't define it 100%. You still get some sporty orange and rose gold tones on the dial and hands. It is really nicely done. Limited Edition Sinn 856 UTC SG In PVD Tegimented Steel Available Now
Like most German things, this limited edition (only 150 pieces) Sinn watch has a complicated and confused name, but that has no effect on it being a very cool watch. Sinn took an 856 UTC watch with PVD coated Tegimented steel (specially made steel that is extremely hard and scratch resistant), and made a couple of special modifications. It would first be good to know that Sinn watches are the preferred timepiece for most of Germany's hardcore police enforcement, military, and other "hardcore" agencies. This version is made in honor of the German Bundeskriminalamt - Sicherungsgruppe (SG), which is the Security Group of the German Federal Bureau of Investigation, also called BKA). While not an exact analog, this of this watch as being made for the German FBI, which is called the BKA.Sinn added a cool looking emblem on the watch to signify the message of this watch. First Rolex - SD43
Hello all. I've been a long time reader/member but just finally got my first Rolex. I have pretty good sized Omega collection of larger Speedmasters, Aqua Terra's and Planet Oceans. And now I have this!!!Picked this up, ordered yesterday and arrived today from DavidSW. Thanks David. Finally a Rolex in a size I like. Love almost everything about it. I love the red lettering of Sea Dweller. Miss the dial AR of my Omegas but no doubt this will be more durable without the outer AR. I love my Omegas and I am still an Omega guy but this thing is a beauty. Here it is next to my Speedmaster Moonphase which is a 44.25mm watch but next to the Rolex you can see how small the big Speedmasters wear for their size. I also have to admit I'm just old enough to need reading glasses and the cyclops date is a welcomed addition in my book. Just for another comparison here it is next the Ti PO in 45.5mm. Still holds its own. Thanks for all the great information on this site.
