Longines Column-Wheel Chronograph
Longines started manufacturing timing equipment in 1878 with the launch of a simple 20 ligne column-wheel chronograph, reference number 20H. Over the years, many other Longines chronograph calibers have incorporated a column-wheel mechanism. The new Longines Column-Wheel Chronograph continues this horological heritage into the 21st century. This Longines houses a new caliber developed by ETA for Longines and other brands within the Swatch Group. Fitted with 27 jewels, the L.688.2 movement is a self-winding caliber with a diameter of 30 mm and a height of 7.90 mm. The blued steel column wheel controls the chronograph functions (start, stop, return to zero). The new movement is housed in a classic case from the Heritage collection. The 40mm stainless steel case offers a transparent case back. The gold-plated Dauphine-style hands are mounted above a silvered dial featuring gold-plated applied hour symbols, a small seconds at 9 o'clock, a 30-minute continuous action counter at 3 o'clock an
Specs of luxurious Chopard 1000 Miglia GT XL Chrono Speed Black Watch

The automatic movement of the Switzerland won praise throughout the brotherhood of watches for its robust construction, reliable operating characteristics and mechanism Eprouvés chronograph integrated. Frequency of review of 28 800 vibrations per hour allows the chronograph function sets of time record in the second about 1/8th.

Each of these sizes is submitted by Chopard in an Office of the Switzerland official chronometer control (COSC) where he undergoes a 15 days of tests to ensure that the accuracy is a demanding range on a variety of positioning and temperature variations. The certificate provided with each timepiece, and the inscription of chronometer on the dial, both attest the movement that have emerged with success of these trials.
Longines Column-Wheel Single Push-Piece Chronograph Review
If a new mechanical chronograph is an exciting thing to see from a brand you like, a column-wheel mono-pusher is almost mind-blowing. A few weeks ago, Longines announced their dryly titled Column-Wheel Single Push-Piece Chronograph ref L2.800.4.53.0, and the mix of a cool movement and a sharp, early 20th-century aesthetic, made it really stand out. Part of their Heritage line, the new watch draws directly from what many might consider to be the "heyday" of Longines' own history; the 13ZN caliber chronographs for the late 30's – 40's. First made in 1936, the 13ZN was a manufacture caliber from the brand that was available in many variations in its life; defining what a high-end chronograph should be.At a glance, one might see the new watch and think, well, that's Longines trying to pull off the Patek look, but it is in fact correct to the period of the source watches. From the wide tachy, to the leaf hands, down to the slender and almost stern type-face, all are pulled from the 30
A Week On The Wrist: The Baume & Mercier Capeland Flyback Chronograph
After years of languishing as the often overlooked little brother in la famlia de Richemont, Baume & Mercier is coming back. Flying back, you might say. Leading the return to the company's former glory is a new flagship model, the Capeland Flyback Chronograph, reference 10006. This is a watch that merits more than a passing glance and, even for a self-confessed dive watch junkie, was one I didn't want to send back after a week on my wrist. The Very Best Of Baume, Born Again 2 OF 7 In 2011, Baume et Mercier gave the Capeland series a badly-needed reboot and the company looked to its past for inspiration, drawing from classic designs from the 40s and 50s. While the standard Capeland chronograph is handsome enough, the Flyback Chronograph is a near-perfect marriage of retro design cues with modern size and build. The watch's beauty is more than skin deep however, with a beautifully decorated unique flyback chronograph movement by La Joux-Perret. The whole package is bewitch
How does this 111 look ?
Hi everyone, I recently picked up this 111 from Davinci watches. While they're not an AD the watch came complete with all boxes and papers. However, just for my peace of mind can those with more expertise take a look at it? I already called Panerai and they confirm the serial number. Thank you
