Oh, Celebrities And Their Rolex Watches!
I am typically not one for celebrity gossip. As far as I am concerned, celebrities, for the most part, are just like you and me, but less intelligent, with more money, and with lots more free time on their hands. But when you combine watches and celebrities I get a bit interested, if not for sheer voyeuristic intentions.Here is a little enjoyable blog about celebrities and their Rolex watches. Some shots are glamorous, some are less than so. The bottom line is that these celebrities never seem to take their Rolex watches off. Don't be impressed however when a celebrity chooses to wear a Rolex. They sure are nice watches, but they are basically the default "nice watch." Sort of like "new money's first luxury watch." Never a bad choice, but not the only choice. Nevertheless, no true watch collection is complete without at least a handful of Rolex watches. Patek king of watches?
Whatever some might say, that there are other brands which make as good or even better watches than Patek, for example Lange, or independents like FP Journe, which is true, Patek doesn't have the monopoly of quality, when you look at their offerings, I don't see another brand which comes even close to it, for me Lange is an incredible brand also, but their variety of watches is far from being as vast as Patek, if you just look at the variety of minute repeaters actually available from Patek, they have 21 options, in the sense that some models are available in 3 different metals, this is just incredible, I know that all the top brands have a few, but 21? I don't think so, I won't even go into the PC, AC, chronos, and other possibilities.Patek has dress pieces, sporty dress pieces like Nautilus and Aquanaut, and what I would consider in between pieces, not sporty and not dressy, like the 5960P for example, when you look at a brand like AP, that some adore, unless I am mistaken what is AP
