ceramic diver discontinued?
Hi all, was taking a look at the AP website, clicked on the diver and there are 2 watches, but no ceramic, white or black, was it never listed on their website in the first place, wonder why they would do that, or was it and now it's gone?If it's gone might give foundation to the rumor I read here and there that they were going to stop production, which sucks because I was getting to really like it and considering getting it one day, want at one point to have a ceramic piece and apart from the diver the only one I like, but less than the AP is the Pam 335, it's nice but nowhere near the finish of AP ceramic, it's matte ceramic without the vertical lines that AP has or brushed/polished parts. Also I am starting to like a few offshore models but am disappointed as I like them with ceramic bezel, again that ceramic obsession, and they only have them on 44mm models, I could go for a 42 but a 44 don't think so, I know members with smaller wrists than mine have 44's, but it's nice on them whe
Help with service in Holland or Belgium
Hi,My AP 15300 needs a service so I was wondering if (the Dutch or Belgian) readers have some advice on which AP Service Center is the best.I heard some stories that Schaap & Citroen (Rotterdam) is not that good (ie, they overcharge) but this could be entirely wrong...Who can share some experiences? Also about the typical charge. If I read some other posts than I can expect to pay around 15OO Euro (maintenance A).Are there any other options to service an AP (independent experts)? Unlike in the USA I guess sending the watch directly to AP in Le Brassus is not an option, or is it?Many thanks in advance!
Now it's perfect....
I've had my 15300 for a few months now, and it has been almost perfect. Almost... because the band was just a bit too loose (I am spoiled about fit thanks to the Glidelock on my Sub!)After reading here about an optional 1.5 link, I sourced one from Clearwater and had it put on today. Perfection!
Omega SMP chronograph advice needed...
My Omega AD has a NOS 2954 that I'm really considering buying .It has the cal. 33XX movement which is itself based on a highly regarded F.Piguet movement. I know Omega had some teething problems with it at first, but for a free sprung, column wheel movement it is a very decently priced watch IMHO...I also love the fact that is does not have a wave dial while the bezel numbers font is much more attractive to me than the bond chrono . Now if one compares it to 2225.80 SMP Bond chrono I believe the pushers on the 2594 are less spaced apart and I also believe the shape case is different. Can anyone confirm if the 2594 is thinner and also the crown guard is different? So are the cases different completely ? And now the watches in question..What are your opinions on both? Thanks for any help in advance .
Any recommendations for watch shopping in Los Angeles or Burbank area?
Here for a few days and wouldn't mind picking up a watch. Any places to go find a deal?
