Buying my first AP
Hi everyone. I am about to buy my first AP for my wedding which is in June. My two options are the Diver or the ROO Black Red / Vampire / Red Panda. I am very confused. I know about the price difference but this will be once in a lifetime purchase for my wedding. Please do advice. I do not really mind if the ROO black red is a much better watch and better looking than the diver. I need your opinions please. Thank uThis is a picture to compare. Thanks. I have till next week to decide. Any input is appreciated. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
New, smaller Casebudi???
Looks like Casebudi finally came out with a smaller case. It's 1.5 inches high. The small Oakley watch vault is 1.75 inches high and the large is 2.25 inches high. Score for ROs?!?!?! Wonder if it's too small...?.amazon/CASEBUDi-Watch.../dp/B009EEQ55C
Opinions on the Montbrilliant Moon phase line please
Hi, I was looking at the Montbrilliant lineup with Moonphase that was discontinued in 2010. Any idea how good/reliable the movement it uses is (think is Breitling 19) since have seen some complaining about it being expensive to service. I read it uses a modified ETA movement so that means is not an inhouse Breitling mechanical movement right? I thought Brietling had started manufacturing their own movements in early 2000 through a Swiss factory they setup. Also saw a place mentioning the watch having water resistant problems although is marked as 30m water resistant, could anyone throw some light on that?Lastly any wrist shots would be much appreciated,Thanks
Nautilus confusion...
Hello allI had some time ago the 3800 in two tone which I really liked however it was just too small for my now 8 wrist. I have been considering picking up another Nautilus but am somewhat confused with the various measurements purported on various sales sites.Would someone be able to let me know what the largest case size Nautilus are either current or older models, and if there was more than one size in the earlier two tones which I really like? For example I see some listed as Jumbo??Any help appreciatedThanks
Incoming?1st Rolex with Pics & my story
Attached are pics of my new Submariner, which I got today, along with my story. Hopefully you will all indulge me as this is quite the moment I have worked towards! I bought my first watch when I was 16, a Bulova, it was $60; I purchased it with my own money, from my first summer job. I walked an hour to the local mall to make the purchase and ever since I have always worn a watch on my wrist. Over the years, though university and marriage, I have had other $100 - $200 watches but as I have matured in life I became much more serious in wanting a watch that I could treasure, wear everyday, and eventually pass down. I signed up as a TRF member October 3rd, 2011, knowing someday I would purchase a Rolex. Over the last 6 years we, my wife and I, put our daughter through university as she did her degree and her Masters. Our daughter graduated, not owing anything, we paid it all. Making sure my daughters education was looked after was worth more than anything to me. So, during the la
