AP RO or ROO Novelty
Hi all,I am new here and this is my first post. I am a proud owner of a Rolex GMT 2 Black Dial which is the only watch that I have. I feel that it is now time to add another watch into my collection and I pick AP to be my next watch.I am really attracted to the AP ROO Novelty Ceramic however my only reservation is its size and my relatively small wrist size (6.3 inches), I wonder if any of you have pictures of the watch on small wrist? Looking forward to hearing from you all!
two watch collection
I've been spending too much time on this forum and it's bad for my health. Considering consolidating my collection to two watches. Flipped the 5167a since it didn't sing to me quite like I had hoped, and same for my offshore. Been thinking about the 5164, 5167r, 5712, AP 15202, or smurf sub. JLC Jubilee ultrathin platinum would be the other watch. I'm waiting for the 5711, but it's been a year at my dealer still with some others ahead of me, so im not going to hold my breath for that one. I'm also particular to the dual time of the 5164, and the chocolate dial of the 5167r. Smurf sub seems like an ideal only watch, but I was irritated by the flak I got for my 16610lv just because it was a rolex (even tho I never got comments on my ap or patek or jlc). Just curious what everyone's thoughts are.
PAM 80 "Independent"?
Can someone tell me the back story / significance of this PAM 80 Independent? It's white gold and 42mm. Seller asking about $20,000. I am interested but not sure it is really that rare and worth the money? Love your hear your feedback. Thanks. DS
How to Stay Passionate About Your Collection
Not all of us have the funds to scratch every itch or to keep adding pieces to a collection. I think having aesthetically and technically distinctive watches in one's collection helps keep one passionate about and engaged with one's collection. What do you all think? To that end, I think a five watch collection is attainable and every collection needs the following (1) a beater, (2) a diver, a chronograph or other non-date complication, (3) a dress watch, (4) a curiosity piece, and (5) a grail. One's selection for each category should be strategic, contemplating how to avoid aesthetic and technical redundancies. An ideal collection could contain the following pieces: Beater: Casio Men's GR8900A-1 G-Shock Tough Solar Digital. For those of us with higher incomes, a quality diver will seem like an ideal beater. Selecting a diver can result in a technical/aesthetic redundancy in your selection of a diver watch or curiosity piece.Diver: Hulk--I think the Hulk is the ideal diver because i
