Antiquorum’s May Sale Includes Patek 1436, 5016
On May 9 and 10 Antiquorum will auction over 300 watches and clocks at the Grand Hotel Kempinski in Geneva. The highlight of the sale is a Patek Philippe Ref. 1436, stainless steel split-seconds chronograph, pictured below. This piece is one of four known examples of which three survived, and one of only two first generation watches known to exist. This timepiece was produced in 1945 and sold on May 11, 1949. It is the first time ever that this watch will be offered at auction. The pre-sale estimate is SFr. 600,000 to 800,000. Also to be offered is a Patek Philippe Tiffany split-seconds wristwatch produced in 1928 and sold on September 23, 1938. This 18K yellow gold wristwatch features a single-button split-seconds chronograph, vertical 30-minute register, constant seconds, and mobile lugs. The pre-sale estimate is SFr. 800,000 to 1,200,000.Another significant timepiece included in this sale is a Patek Philippe Ref. 5016 P with a unique dial. This watch was originally sold on November
It's here! My first AP.
My first AP! Went with the new 15202 jumbo. Was having good ol' DSW source a 15300 (which I'm still mulling), but he mentioned yesterday that he had an inbound BNIB 15202 (warranty dated this week) from his AD. I thought about it for a good 30 seconds and pulled the trigger. David had the AD drop ship it to my place and I received it this morning. The thinner case and 39mm size suits my wrists better than the 15400. As has been mentioned before, it wears a lot like a PP 5711 - which is also in my rotation. However, the 15202 bracelet is a bit more comfortable IMHO. I love the patisserie dial and its subtle color changes in different light. The detailing on the watch is insane - up there with my Pateks.Thank you DavidSW for another smooth transaction, and thank you Thomas (TSW) for bracelet sizing advice after some issues with overuse of loctite at the AP factory. Coincidentally, the 15202 arrived the same day I received my always-delayed copy of WatchTime featuring the RO Jumbo. Enough
Omega Seamaster Professional 2255
Bought it last week, love it! Perfectly 0~-2 sec/day. Same impressive with my Rolex 16610.
London Watch Store Recommendation
Hi guys,I am looking to buy a pair of Omega's in London (the AT 8500 & a constellation). Have tried several stores and they seem reluctant to discount. Most I am getting offered is 10%. Can anyone suggest stores I should look at who will offer more? Or is 10% the best I will get in London? Thanks!

Just picked up this little beauty yesterday.Early Christmas present to self... well if I don't, nobody else will! Lol.Anyway, if I said 'I couldn't be any happier with it' I would be telling the truth - now I know what all the fuss is about..Seriously in love with that Sunburst dial & Gold font..Anyway, I will try and post some better macro pics soon. Finally, would just like to take the opportunity to say 'Thank You' TRF for all the wonderful and knowledgeable information you've all shared in 2017. Here's hoping you all have a wonderful Christmas, a happy New Year and a very prosperous 2018Regards...
