Gavox Aurora Review
Gavox is a brand we've talked about a few times here on worn&wound. Whether making Type XX inspired chronographs for the Belgian Air Force, or riffing on Marine Chronometers, Gavox has a tendency to surprise with their watches. Despite their young age as a brand, each model has achieved something new and different, and frankly been very attractive both aesthetically and financially. Well, their newest watch, the Aurora, is a game changer for the brand and an industry first. On the surface, the Aurora might look like another twist on an aviator watch, but lurking inside is a movement unlike any other we've come across. It's a Soprod Mecatronic movement that was developed with Gavox to their specs and desires. So what does it do? Well on top of telling time it has seven different modes, including a chronograph and perpetual calendar to name just two. It's basically like having the functionality of a digital watch, but with an analogue layout and controls. When you switch between modes

I just bought me a Safari the other day!Well, actually I traded my polished 15300 which I wasn't pleased with for this Safari. So far I'm loving it!2014 model, still under warranty which is the only reason why I dare to use it. Service costs is no joke! One question, what happens if I start the chronograph and while it's running, I press the reset button?I don't dare to try it...Safari in Swedish snow The dial is magical, I still haven't figured out how they made the numbers.Of course I also have the original leather. But I prefer the steel bracelet! I'm no leather guy.
Need to quit Rolex for awhile....
...because i just got this...:)with the limited run of 315sc..

If you had to choose one?
Hi guys,Just wanting some opinions on which watch would be a better purchase and why. Things I am considering are: - which look is likely to be more timeless- value retention - anything else you can think ofThey both seem to be about the same price for a used model now. Rolex 116509 Daytona white gold with meteorite dial VS Rolex 116619 Submariner WGThanks for your input!
